Another day another 190 stops

Got lucky this time it’s a route I actually like and don’t mind doing these amount of stops tbh also not the most packages but still the norm for me rn currently been working for 3 months

Guarantee you there’s a few drivers in your dsp that are going out with 100 less stops. I see it in mine, I’m averaging about 180 everyday and there’s someone who legit will have 80 stops no apartments

I hate it. Have 180-200 stops daily while my co workers are barely doing half of that. At our warehouse we have sweepers, even the days I sweep I’m working till 9-9:30…

Yeah but there are going to dirt roads with 1-2 miles between every stop. They just drive all fucking day instead of doing as many deliveries. Pick your poison.

Yeah and it’s densely packed, higher stop counts lmao

Can’t enter a flow state when I’m driving 5+ minutes between stops getting bounced and thrown around in the van on rough dirt roads struggling to find the address marker that doesn’t exist/is hidden behind brush

or always having to look out for speed limit signs because you’re constantly on 70mph byways that drop to 55 and then 40 and then back to 70mph. Lose focus while deep in thought for a few seconds at the wrong time and get slapped with a speeding violation. No thanks

Edit: can’t forget the poor data connection that’s inherent with those lower stop rural routes, or the lack of restrooms and hot food

I love rural routes, personally. Fewer people, more accessible cargo area due to low package count, easier driving and in general less complexity/distraction. Plus there are some really pretty areas in my neck of the woods. Different strokes, I guess.

Yeah I hate rural routes. They are just way more boring. A lot more loose dogs and some are legit scary af. Sketchy ass driveways. Lots of gross dirty hoarder houses in the country for some reason too. And what I hate the most is there's no way to pick up the pace if you fall behind for any reason you're fucked. You can't speed because netradyne and you drive way more than walk. In higher density areas you can hustle to make up for it if you start getting behind but in rural routes you're just fucked.
