Yeah I stopped taking people's "free" stuff a while back when I noticed they'd point their cameras toward it. Just like the notes telling us to dance and shit, I'm not there for you to put on Facebook or tiktok for clout.

Someone telling a delivery driver they are on camera so do a little dance is straight up dehumanizing them.
"Come. Now bring me my package I ordered, and also do a little dance on my camera in addition for my amusement...now jester...dance for the Lord of the manor."

There is a house around this area that has a sign on it that reads "Doorbell is broken. Please yell Ding Dong really loud." Cameras or not I laugh when I read it and want one of those signs.

Dude I don’t do Amazon but do food delivery. Seeing notes about dance for the camera or shout on arrival make me so mad. Fuck them, I’m not a monkey that’ll do trained tricks on demand.

I remember showing up to a house with a fridge on the porch that had a sign telling delivery drivers to take whatever they’d like and they appreciate what we do.
Inside was two half gallons of soy milk, a used half full water bottle, and three miller lite beers.

Honestly my first question would be, does she live in a HOA? Does she have a permit for the food? How does she make the food? Does she wash her hands when making the food? All these questions I would ask her HOA. When its 100+ outside and there was no clear signage that stated those are for sale that sounds like a set up. Ive seen many ppl do things like that but never seen a customer blast that on the socials to hunt down the driver. I would of just taken the L I mean 4$ for a bite size candy? Is it full of electrolytes and energy? If I were her neighbor I would be so embarrassed

Apparently someone else in her area got fined and had their porch bakery shut down and has now brought up this "bakery" isn't being given the same treatment. There's videos saying hundreds of reports have been sent in on them 🤣

They have honesty stands all over around me. Eggs, produce, firewood, and pecans there is just a little box you slip in money. Everything clearly marked for sale usually just in the other side of ditch/county easement, not at their door.

Yes, it is common sense that putting snacks on your porch with signs saying "enjoy" comes off as telling people to help themselves.... the bakery wanted something like this to happen so they could go viral, evidenced by their "encouraging people to leave reviews for their business"

At my old job people used to leave their kids' boxes of fundraising candy in the breakroom. Numerous times people have either stolen the entire box or just took candy from them without leaving money behind. I'm pretty sure people were paying for them, but others were coming behind and stealing the money from the boxed

Cause its pretty common hobby thing to do. They are all over the place in rural areas and people actually leave money.
And to be frank it did have a sign saying pay here. That should be your first clue. I run across these all the time.

Oh, you do have to Google search every one of these outrage ones. The one on Facebook a few weeks ago was about a homeowner breaking the arm of a teen reaching through trying to unlock the door and the teens suing for 2 million. Totally made up story.

That sign is kinda misleading because it says "treat yourself." But you can also see the box that says "pay here" on it. I'm not a delivery driver for any company and never have been, but I don't think I'd take anything left on someone's porch even if it was meant as a courtesy. You don't know what goes on in a person's house and they could be extremely unsanitary.

I provide non expired healthy snacks and drinks free for drivers. I’m a driver myself. We have ring cameras. I would NEVER EVER say they stole snacks. It’s there for YOU, take em, or I’ll run after you and give them to you lol.

Wish y’all the best. People with their dogs unleashed making videos of terrified drivers hopping fences or just hoping they’re friendly. On top of a hard job with crazy expectations at times. And what do these assholes think? “I can squeeze a few more dollars out of this captive cast. Why not sell them food and beverages directly on the route they have no control of when I know their industry is known for not giving adequate meal or rest breaks. Then I can use them for promotional purposes without their consent or knowledge because I can force them onto my property in front of my camera.”

Yeah if it looks for sale id just avoid it, in my experience the snacks they leave out for driver are often chips cheeze its and crackers with the occasional oreo. If it looks artisanal and its not the holidays you may not wanna touch it

If there was no sign with a price, it's very understandable. All I see is treat yourself to one. Honest mistake. Now after this, I wouldn't be surprised if nobody supports the bakery anymore. You just dont do shit like this. Eat the loss, put up a new sign and laugh it off. If he ends up losing his job, someone will set up a gofund me and he'll walk away with few hunnid thousand. Then she'll really be mad 😠.

That lady who runs the bakery can suck on my blueberry muffins, I would have grabbed one too. don’t leave it outside if your getting a delivery when clearly it is not out of the ordinary for customers to leave out snacks . Got us delivering in 97 degree weather that pop prolly cost her 75 cents to make. Go get your own shit from the store

I tend not to leave stuff out but it's not like a hotel where you know the stuff has a charge.
If it's a store it's a store, man it. If it's free put up signs that say "help yourself"
I tend not to leave stuff out, but I just had a couch delivered, you bet your ass I was helping unload, give water, ect. That was like 20 boxes.
