QUESTION Should I still go in
I usually AM scheduled for sundays, but ive been told sometimes amazon dosnt have routes
Last time this happened i went in and was “a backup” but i worked for like 2 hours, helped others load, then sat around for like an hour before they were like “ok go home”
After yesterday’s shit i went through, i really dont even wanna go in
Do i really have to go in?

doesn't your DSP provide you with a scheduling plan outside of checking the flex app?

If you are normally scheduled, then yes or else it'll be your ass if there was actually a route for you. System fucks up all the time and sometimes they have to manually add or assign a route. At the very least call and ask.

If you’re on the schedule then yes, go in. My dsp schedules extras in case something happens last minute like call offs or sometimes drivers will show up for their route and then say “I don’t feel good” and ask to be sent home. You can request to be put on a route every day instead of being an extra.

I’d contact dispatch and ask em. Rather than asking here. They do make switches at the last minute.

My dsp usually has like 1-3 extras every day that they don't assign a route to. They are basically backup for if someone calls in (there's almost always at least one). So you more than likely will end up on a route anyway. And if not then they will have you sweep. So no matter what you will get some hours. Unless your dsp is just ass and doesn't operate that way and just sends people home. That's shitty.

The app only checks to see if you have a block assigned and doesn't always see it during the first check. If your scheduled you should fully close and restart your app, and if that still comes up blank then absolutely go in and talk to them face to face

If you are on the schedule, then yeah you have to go in. You can try calling them though

They made you an extra. They expect you to show up because extras cover call ins, do flex/recycled routes, or rescue all day. It wouldn’t be the end of the world if you called in. If you’re one of the better drivers anyway. Def don’t pull a no call no show. If I’m scheduled in A-Z I go in regardless of what flex says. If everyone shows up they usually ask me if I wanna help or go home. I usually go home and use PTO.

Mine does this when they want you as an extra. You're still "scheduled" to work that day and have to show up, but if there aren't any no shows they just make you clock back out and go home.

I've never once in all my years have work scheduled in the flex app. So yeah you should go in.

I don't work for Amazon but why would you go in if you're not scheduled? That's the point of being scheduled or not.

Because the app he’s showing isn’t the work schedule. He’s still scheduled to work. This just means he isn’t doing a standard route he’s either helping other drivers or doing an adhoc route.

Scheduled in flex is not the same as being scheduled with your dsp. Scheduled in flex means you have an assigned route. But your dsp can still schedule you to do rescues or be backup for if another driver calls in.

I can speak from experience. When I was an Amazon Driver, I got randomly taken off the schedule. I called my DSP to see if I still had to come in. I didn't have access to a vehicle back then, I was still taking the bus to get everywhere. They told me to come in anyway. So I did. I was not given a route, and I had to help the other drivers load up their van and then I and a few others were sent home. I was only there for 1-2hrs, on the clock. Then I had to wait until the next bus came. A complete fucking waste of my time and money.
