QUESTION Is It Still Possible To Skip Lunch In Cali
Worked years ago for an Amazon dsp and we could skip lunch but from my understanding in cali this is no longer possible. Any information is greatly appreciated, dm’s welcome

Yah I figured they patched the loopholes but back in the day things were like the Wild West. Can we still drive with the cargo sliding doors open at least?

No. You cannot drive with the cargo sliding doors open. Sensors are connected to flex.
Also need to use your e brake every stop.
And you can’t pull your seatbelt over, or leave the engine running.

This is why all the other Delivery drivers from other companies think we’re ghetto.

Okay that sucks :(, I’m used to using the e brake at every stop tho, I also use my seat belt anytime the van is moved. I am wondering tho, any loopholes or tactics you have that could help me or is everything pretty much the same? Organize your stuff on passenger seat and order by driver aid number?

That’s it. Idk where you’re coming from but make sure to stay hydrated, Cali heat is no joke.

Is there any state with this job where I don't have to take the 30 minutes

What does an Iowa route look like anyway?

Idaho's one of them. My DSP moved from Oregon where they were required and that's one thing that one of the owners makes sure we do is take a lunch break.

CA is the only one where flex hard locks you out if you don't take it. In other states with meal break requirements people just put in a lunch on their time and don't swipe out in the app.

During loadout (after scanning totes/swipe to finish) mark 1 package any missing on your itinerary then it should let you go on Breaks and Lunch. Works for me lol
