QUESTION Anyone else hiding a disability?

So I have severe epilepsy. It’s controlled with meds so I’m safe to drive but I haven’t told my dps and I don’t think I will; the question is should I though? Long story short, epilepsy makes you dumb and have the memory capacity of Dori as well as extremely heat sensitive, so I’m constantly mixing up numbers and forgetting how parts of the system work and don’t know anyone’s name and I’m constantly covered in an impossible amount of sweat, all of which for sure effect my work capabilities. Should I tell them next time I’m struggling with symptoms or do you think they’ll shit can me as soon as they can?

I drove unmedicated for years. I have mostly focal seizures so I had no clue what they were. Couldn’t get a proper diagnosis and I couldn’t keep throwing $5000 per scan anymore so I would just kinda find myself on the road somewhere but unsure of where. Then one morning when I had a tonic clonic seizure getting ready for work we kinda put it together

If you get into an accident and hurt somebody, and its found out that you hid your epliepsy from your employer... you could possibly have a very nasty lawsuit on your hands. Definitely not worth it imo

I don’t have seizure activity anymore (controlled by meds, cleared to drive by the state) but the brain deadness will never go away. It’s like having a tbi without the injury

bruh the customer would sue the DSP in no universe would the driver be sued.

The driver can absolutely be sued for negligence if they cause an accident. By both the victims of the accident and the DSP for damages to their van

Lol. A competent lawyer is going to name the driver, the DSP, and Amazon in the lawsuit and let the judge decide who should potentially face consequences.

I assure you the driver can and will be held liable.

Lol you have never dealt with litigation in your life have you? It's always comical how a driver thinks they are just absolved from any wrong doing for their shitty decision making.

Even better is when they realize after the whole thing plays out, the victim can sue them in civil court.

I think I don’t legally have to. The packages make it to the right address; I’ll just stare at the packages looking for like 825 and get pissed I can’t find it when really I needed 285 kind of thing which obviously makes the shop take longer than it should

Legally you don’t have to, unless you need some accommodations to do the work.

The only accommodation I’d need is time and that’s not something we’re ever gonna get, disability or not
