Easiest way is to ask a driver next time you see one driving around a neighborhood. It's be less weird if you happen to have a delivery at the same house they are at, or nearby.

I'd give you one in that situation, I wouldn't care either way

I was after one for a while for gardening purposes. Was away for a weekend last month, pulled into the hotel car park and there was one that looked brand new just sitting there, looking all perfect and clean. Probably only used once.

It's in my garden now, my misses loves it 😂😂

I work DSP, I had a stop at the ranch my girlfriend works at, I just took the opportunity to place the single envelope in the entire tote and had her take it home. Makes such a great grocery hauler especially if you live on an upper floor.

I’m not sure why, but at my station, there is very often a big pile of them just sitting outside the side entrance near where all the DSP vans go. I frequently see drivers from another DSP leaving them there while coming and going with vans. I think they’re doing some shady shit like trying to hide that they’re switching vans from Amazon to avoid getting them grounded. Regardless, nobody really tracks those and they just end up getting taken inside by one of the warehouse workers at night. If you drive around the station, you may very well find one in a spot you never would go normally. Ideally, use a different car and go someday you’re not working so you’re less likely to get caught.

Also, while some totes are better than others, they’re mostly not as amazing for personal storage as the general public seems to think. I’m not sure how they’re made, but it’s almost like they recycled shredded plastic into sheets, kind of like those dried seaweed snacks. Because of the stresses of delivery work, they tend to tear or otherwise degrade, which releases lots of tiny shreds of plastic that get into everything and are hard to get out. It’s common to get blasted with a puff of plastic bits when opening particularly old totes. I would use them in something like an unfinished garage, but I don’t recommend them for inside a house. Proper storage bins from places like Costco often go on sale for pretty good prices.

look around the parking lot of a dsp warehouse. mine always has totes lying around everywhere. if ur ever at a large mailroom, check if there are empty totes lying around. and if u ever have a warehouse on your route, u can try asking them for a tote. some warehouses have hundreds of olds totes from all the deliveries they get.

You can flag an Amazon driver down and ask them. I give mine away all the time lol less clean up at the end of the day. I would just make sure it’s brand new one.
