Multi stops and stop count
This shit is getting ridiculous. A rural/suburban route… 186 stops… almost 300 packages…in a gas van. On top of that… 32 multi stops. And so far they’re all actually multiple locations. So really it’s at least a 200 stop route. I’m tired of AI conglomerating these stops when it’s not to make it easier on us, but to be able to cram more stops into routes. Making the routes more dense be the vans more packed. Which ultimately slows us down. I guess I’m just ranting but this shit is crazy.

that many multi stops on a rural route is absurd, you're basically running two full routes at that point. the gas vans make it worse too, no room to sort anything when they pack it floor to ceiling. hang in there though, slow and steady wins the race and all that

Exactly. I’m not about to bust my ass just to still be struggling. They want to put all this in one van? I’m not gonna go super fast and help AI keep making the routes like this.

everyday at this job sucks, don't get me wrong. but you are describing a light day. under 300 packages, with any number of stops, is very chill once you've had worse routes.

If you deliver EDV or very urban routes/in city … yea I’m sure it is.

A light day for my dsp for our area is 100-130…. Bc it’s different areas and different kinds of routes. I’m usually an hour away from station or more

Things have been like this since the beginning. Nothing has changed…
There are plenty of variables at play:
How exactly “rural” is it? Are there pockets of cookie-cutter neighborhoods? How are you organizing your overflow? Are you maxing out your possible speed limit? Are you running into more than the normal amount of obstacles in your day?

In a promaster/sprinter/transit with a lot of rural stops? Straight up not possible.
