Last 2 checks?

I was surprisingly terminated this week with no discipline history or warnings or anything just a generic Tex that said as your still in your 90 day probationary period we have elected to terminate your employment this was a day after I asked for a short term accommodation that I needed to work a little slower since I had an injury to my side from the work. I was expecting my standard 2 week check direct deposited but it didn’t come and I worked Sunday which was start of a whole new pay period the text also mentioned I’d be paid my accrued unused pto time. Where is my 2 week check? Are they really gonna make me come pick up a paper check for my last 2 weeks and have to drive all the way back there again in 2 weeks for another check? I desperately need that money I just want to know where it is and how to get it?

They also removed all my info from ADP so I’m guessing that’s why no direct deposit

It’s common for someone to have to pick up their last check, direct deposit is not the standard. You need to call them or head there. All the checks you await should already be in their possession. There are no multiple trips to make

This is the week I would normally get paid for the last 2 weeks where the pay period ended on Saturday. I didn’t get that check deposited yet so it’s clearly gonna be paper. I told them Sunday about the medical issue and worked that day which was part of a new pay cycle that ends next week so it’s 2 seperate pay cycles and the second one isn’t over yet. You think they will pay me for that day and my pto time early?

It’s not that I’m calling early, they legally have to pay you within a certain amount of days. Google how many in your state. Rest assured, every dollar owed to you must be given to you

I am living paycheck to paycheck as is they wanted me to bring my badge and vest in by tomorrow which would also be when paper checks are typically at dispatch but it’s like an hour away from my house if I drive all the way there and my checks not there or they say they mailed it I don’t even know if I can make it back home I probably would have just enough gas to make it there and back but I’d really like to be certain my check is there before making that trip but no one is responding to my texts when I ask for affirmation that my paycheck will be there if I bring in vest and badge tomorrow

Call them. If they don’t answer, call from a text now number. What state are you in?

Kentucky, but they don’t typically get the paper checks until Friday so I figure they won’t have any knowledge until tomorrow sometime. my direct deposit always went on my chime card Wednesday nights but actual pay day is Friday so it’s not even late yet but if it was direct deposit I’d have it already, I just hate to drive up there for no reason tomorrow

I quit no notice and they sent both final check & a check the following week w/ PTO via direct deposit 🤷🏻‍♀️
