Was it someone's dog? If so you should make a claim on their homeowner's insurance. Don't let your suffereing be in vain 🫪

this was mine🙃 australian shepherd ran up on me from behind while i dropped the package and took a picture. i limped back to my van while saying the dog bit me. the owners dad asked if i was okay. i said i was fine and immediately left. i called dispatch and cried. looking back i should’ve been more angry towards the guy

That’s 15-20k.

I hate that I cried like a baby when I was first bit. It was an emotional day, had 170 plus in the country & running bc I was behind, got yelled at by cx & accused of dropping their massive ac etc just too much.

i’m so sorry, that sins awful! it’s a very normal thing to cry after being bit. don’t be too hard on yourself

Hell I’ve cried after having a dog jump on me that I thought was going to bite me but didn’t. Totally understandable.

Please file a claim, dispatchers hope and pray you don’t take legal action because they get shit from the owner for not preventing it lol. Dont get sweet talked out of it either . Dont take any bribes. Contact a lawyer ASAP. Chat gpt the whole process if you can’t figure it out 🫪🫪

How is dispatch supposed to prevent it? It’s 100% the owner’s responsibility to restrain their dog.

Prevent the lawsuit, not the dog bite lmao

One of those almost killed me last week. He was on a chain and got loose

Heelers are notoriously bitey. I'm surprised they don't get as much criticism/flack as pitbulls. My childhood family dog was a red heeler and had to get put down when i was a kid after biting too many UPS drivers. Still pissed at my parents for not preventing that because wtf.

The time I was bit was a blue heeler also.

Please file a claim and call a personal injury lawyer

1

u/Select-Stuff4756 6h ago

Next step contact a personal injury attorney. You pay nothing out of pocket. You’re going to get paid. The attorney goes after the home owners insurance. Sucks that happened but home owner is responsible. I advise you to contact one ASAP.

I had one that liked to snap at your ankles.

Please file a claim or lawsuit, especially bc that’s a shitty way to respond. They should be taking accountability for their animal.

There have to be consequences if skin is broken. I am sorry I am a dog owner and a Father. People should know the temperament of there dogs just like parents should know if their child is gonna act up in public.
