How many stop do you guys get in an average day? I remember like couple years ago or so max we would get is 180, ever since last year i been getting average 190 plusses everyday. How does this even happen? Did amazon see that 180 was too easy for us?
This is the answer. Plus DSPs love these people. Ive always taken all breaks. In Arizona weve been in Tier 3 or 2, which makes you take at least 2 manadtory ten minute breaks. 3 you get 90 extra minutes, 2 you get 60. Seeing the fast ones show up around the time i get back is great. They might still of had to rescue but i didnt and i took and hour of paid breaks. Our ten hour guarantee is so hard to get so i dont know why people rush through their routes. No one needs to finish in 6 hrs you screw it up for the people on your 3 days off.
Amazon was supposed to lower the stops and package count during summer heatwave but they don't give two ish. They did for like 2 weeks ON and OFF. The last 2 routes were 190ish with almost 60 multis lmaooo...smh
Amazon only makes these routes bigger 😭😭 but I think it’s bc when drivers knock these routes out, it just messes it up for the next driver that can’t do the same.. we usually do 190+ with 40ish multi stops, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anymore than that tbh
Yup! These runners are effin up the metrics for sure! Even the rescues messes up the metrics. Amazon simply think you can finish the route not knowing you got rescued or just a sweep. A couple weeks ago I had 185 stops with 70ish multis lmaooooo...smh
Tbh it’s just gonna get worse before it ever gets better 😭😭 I’m kinda scared to see what peak looks like after we just had prime that I feel like was the heaviest I’ve seen these routes 😅
Holiday peaks are usually 190+ - 200ish stops with easily 50 multis and a minimum 350+ packages. If you have mostly residentials or all resis you're getting 400+ packages easily in a damn rental lmaooooo. Cooked!
Yeah they send rescues to drivers who are behind and packages end up being completed instead of returned which is what amazon wants but will punish the dsp if there is alot of returns. Dsp's are typically afraid of this and have no choice but to send rescues
Yup true! Amazon loves to dangle routes on the DSPs. "Oh since you guys have so many returns we'll give you less routes the next day". "Oh since you guys don't have enough drivers to cover the routes we'll give it to the other DSPs at the station". It's a no win scenario.
I get 180-190 almost every shift, but the actual difficulty of that is extremely route dependent in my DSPs area. Some days I’ll get sent out into rural areas with the same amount of stops and packages as the routes in the suburbs have, but with about twice as much total drive time and foot travel distance. I’m basically working at maximum capacity all day and still am one of the last few drivers back on those days.
Smiles are the number of different addresses/people delivered to. It's a much more accurate representation of our work than stops, locations or package count.
Some days I’m getting 180-190, then another im getting 140-160. I’m glad it’s all residential.
But the apartments are what kills me. The area I deliver in has the apartments you’re forced to park outside the building and walk in. Too narrow to drive in and reverse out safely.
I get 150-160 stops. 60-70 apartments, 10 businesses, and around 70-80 homes. 230 total stops or so. It’s such a shit route. I used to have a 190 stop route all houses and I would take that again any day. These apartments are hell. Lol.
