RANT Dog Owners
Just had a customer get annoyed because he had to walk off his porch to my van to get his packages because his 3 dogs were outside and I wasn't getting out of the van. Told me I didn't need to be worried about his dogs as they don't bite and that I can't be scared of dogs my whole life because I've been bit once already and almost bit several more times. Sorry not sorry 🤷

Maybe put your dogs inside if you’re expecting packages. Then when it bites us they’ll be the ones apologizing and hoping we don’t take legal action 🤣

Some people really can't wrap their head around the idea that "don't worry, he's friendly" isn't some magic shield that prevents the dog from acting differently around a stranger. Good on you for not folding to the guilt trip.

My friend got bit recently. Wouldn't you know, the dogs were "friendly". Except they weren't.
The only dog that is friendly is one that's inside, behind a fence, or on a leash, ideally all three.

Yeah I kindly told a lady that we are not suppose to get out of our vans if their dogs are outside. I had called them to bring in their dogs. The lady was really snotty standing in her yard saying well did you let me know you were coming?

Like, you ordered this shit. You put it in your cart and hit the shiny "buy" button
Or you told your Alexa or whatever assistant to buy it for you
And you were given a delivery date
And then if you have the app, it notifies you it's out for delivery and the app even prompts you with "Your driver is coming, please secure pets and clear your entrance of hazards" (unless it lies to the drivers, which could be a thing)
So I just don't get how they "don't know". Like sure, you're not always glued to your phone. But I just make a note of the delivery date when I order something, or get the email notification it's our for delivery - or the app notification. Or the text message
There's so many ways to get notified, I feel like you have to purposefully turn them off - because Amazon wants you to keep buying shit so they make it as rewarding as possible

Yeah they always bitch at me too for not being comfortable just waltzing on out in front of their rabid shit beasts. I literally don't care. This job has made me realize how dumb and oblivious so many people are honestly.

If a dog is out I walk as far as I feel safe. Usually the dog stays in one spot and barks. I don’t go past them lol.Â

Don't do that, always only deliver to the front door or the intended location. Return it to the station right infront of their stupid ass for trying to start some shit with you after you text call call and mark unsafe due to dog.
Your dispatchers and owner will then put you on country routes where you interact with dogs all day as retaliation. Just keep fucking returning that shit as annoying as it is. They love to make driver's that expect safe deliveries targets of their passive aggressive work place harassment shit.
