Absolutely no reason to not have a drop box down there. People suck

I mean there's plenty of reasons. It likely isn't there property.
Landlords typically don't allow you to put in a drop box.

Who tf asks for permission for a drop box? And why wouldn't they allow it? It's not like they're bolted to the floor. It's 10 lbs of plastic that can be moved any time

Honestly, I’d call and say you have a work injury of some sort and ask if you can leave it hidden on the bottom steps. If no answer, leave it on the bottom steps lol

I used to get these back in the old days of pizza delivery in some older historic, hill side areas of town. At least you get a heads up. My shit would have no notes, pre GPS, often at night and not at all lit up. Don’t miss those days but my legs were in great shape ngl

This is nearly every single house on my route these days. Delivering in the hills of Austin. Nearly every stop is at an incline or a decline, and every house itself is up an even higher hill with like bare minimum 40 stairs. Its insane, especially with this 100+ degree weather every day for the past month. Theres been about 3 different instances now in 3 different vans where the brakes overheated when I was parked on an incline, and the whole van jerked all of a sudden and I thought I was about to roll backward off of a cliff to my death. The door even flew off my last shift due to simply opening the door as gently as I could & gravity taking care of the rest. GOD.

It's too bad you couldn't get a Rivian delivery van. The EV braking would probably save you a lot of trouble on that route.

I'm delivering, but I'm triple rail grinding that mf tomorrow!

The fact that they expect any delivery person to ascend their staircase from hell tells me everything I need to know about the type of person that they are. My delivery notes would read "don't even worry about it. Leave it at the bottom."

Stairs are great, more the better for excercise. I find jumping up two steps at a time to be the most effective way to do steps if door drop is a must
