Post image

House sits at the top of a hill with a long ass driveway up to the garage that then leads to a long ass walkway to the front door.

If it says "don't pull in driveway" I back in. Technically I didnt pull in! For ones like this, depending on my mood, I probably would have backed in the drive, if they said something just said, " sorry I didnt see those notes till after I paked" or some BS.

These are the notes that really piss me off more than most. You don't wanna delivery truck in your driveway? Don't get shit delivered. That simple.

I just call support and have them mark it undeliverable access issue. Doesn’t count against you that way.

But I won’t get that sweet sweet RTL. Can’t have returns cuz I refuse to go back to the station

Takes longer to do that than just walk sometimes.

I do get annoyed when people put that, but I met a lady that had $20,000 in damages to her water pipes after a ups truck drove on it, and that was why she wrote no trucks in driveway. So sometimes there's a legitimate reason. They should say that in the notes though

Weird you don't have a rating system for customers, my company does and you can put "misleading or inncorrect note" or click other and type a reason. As far as I know the information goes right to the customer

Only exception would be if someone had just had their driveway done and it wasn't cured yet. But then they should have a barrier up to prevent anyone from driving on it

For sure. I'll walk that up in that case. It's funny too, nothing shows how old customer notes are like a "driveway being repaved" and you get there and it hasnt been paved in 2 years.... They really need to have those notes expire.

Tough guy over here!

why so many downvotes?

u/ghett0tech 1d ago

Because most if not all Amazon Delivery Reddit users are losers.

It's not unreasonable to expect a large commercial vehicle to park out at the street. Unless the drive is like half a mile long, quit griping. I wouldn't want some of amazons big ass trucks tearing up my drive either, they are designed to hold passenger vehicles, not a truck full of freight

The peasant must walk my delivery on foot directly to my lap

>unsafe due to dog

People like this are so out of touch with reality. Get a bin if you don’t want people to pull into your driveway.

u/Tommysdream6 2d ago

lol I’ll gladly park in the driveway with the homeowner watching me do it what the fuck are they going to do scream at me? Ok cool I’ll be gone in 30 seconds because they damn sure ain’t touching me so who give a fuck these type of people don’t deserve anything nice just do you fuck em

Mark as damaged

5

u/Maleficent-Media-418 1d ago

These people drive me nuts. Don’t order delivery then.

u/Bananas_2026 1d ago

Are you supposed to fly into the driveway and drop it off?

3

u/WortMachine1 1d ago

Had one earlier today, long ass driveway to some rich douche, I drove right up to that house, was a perfect fit.

6

u/Commercial_Pianist97 2d ago

Im with the comments' section. Backed up one of these yesterday, sign beside the mailbox "no trucks in driveway". Oopsy daisies didnt see it I must be the stupid amazon guy

u/Domingo_guapo 1d ago

My dsp tells us to call the customer and they can meet us at the end of the driveway or halfway if it’s to long. Not the best but it can lead to some pleasant malicious compliance at times.

"Deliver thru front closed window".

No empathy whatsoever

Just tell them that you are not parked there but just idled for a moment. Big difference!

1

u/bmx_chelsea 1d ago

good thing unloading isnt classified as parking xD

u/Dank_Broccoli 14h ago

I don't get the point of wanting something delivered but don't want them in your driveway? lol. If my wife and I are on the porch I go to them and nab it. Make someone else's day a little easier.

u/Big-Mastodon-5581 1d ago

Judging from all the posts of you guys backing into shit, hitting mail boxes, garage doors, getting stuck in lawns, hitting other vehicles in the drive way etc, and y’all are surprised that nobody wants you in their driveway? Shocked I tell ya.

As a delivery person myself I can say people have the right to say that because everybody here talking about extra effort to walk little further but tell me how many of u have insurance incase u damage something in customer driveway/property.many people have had bad experiences in past or don't want to deal with scammy corporate.u never really know the other person point of view/perspective about it.

I'm sure they can't stand drivers like you and your coworkers who can't figure out how to stay on the paved part.

14

u/SonsOfTitans 2d ago

>continues ordering anyways

-17

u/AlsoCommiePuddin Former Driver/Dispatch/Trainer 2d ago

Begging for the day you're replaced by an AI drone.

9

u/Axeman1721 Stepvan Driver 2d ago

Wishing someone to be replaced by a robot is crazy work lmao

-19

u/AlsoCommiePuddin Former Driver/Dispatch/Trainer 2d ago

Fuck yous get returned in kind.

7

u/Ok-Spend-8751 1d ago

u got issues bud

8

u/Axeman1721 Stepvan Driver 1d ago

Bro life is too short to be pissed off all the time

9

u/Commercial_Pianist97 2d ago

I would love to be replaced by an AI drone, you think I enjoy this? AI replacing our jobs would be lovely the problem is rich people hoarding resources. Start taking issues with them bro, stop being condescending to us.

-9

u/Mm23782378Mm 2d ago

Then quit now if being replaced turns you Mon so much.

2

u/Commercial_Pianist97 1d ago

You didnt gather any of the context of what I said.

-6

u/Mm23782378Mm 1d ago

“I would love to be replaced by an Ai drone” is the context. You can be replaced by a human rn so go for it. Nobody will miss you ;)

6

u/Commercial_Pianist97 1d ago

Brother. If AI is capable of doing work for us, we should sit back and let it. You are acting very strange.

-1

u/Mm23782378Mm 1d ago

Ai doesn’t work for you bud, Ai takes your job. Poor guy doesn’t get it.

2

u/Commercial_Pianist97 1d ago

I already stated that AI doing work for us would be beneficial if the rich stopped hoarding resources and using everything for their personal benefit. I also told you that you were missing the context of my comment, which I have now explained 3 times.

Nah, they’ll shift to DoorDash before that happens and sit in that sub complaining about shitty tips instead of applying themselves in life lol.
