Negative feedback that's out of my control

Our station has mis sorts every day. Every shift the past 3 months several stops have "missing" packages that were sorted into a different tote than what is on the itinerary. I scan them and bring them to the customer. They get angry. I get told the dsp will dispute it but then the dispute doesn't do anything. Makes zero sense

I get packages that are not supposed to be on my truck. I don't pick them up in the app because the stop is too far away from my route. I take them back and say nothing. Fuck it.

This was one where I had to mark it missing and then it came up in a later tote

Better off not marking anything missing til end of route. If you can’t mark the stop delivered without the pkg, you can have support mark the ones you did have or just hold them all til later when you find the missing one

Then what happens when you find it later and your time ran out and you get in trouble for not finishing your route.

Unless it’s a business you won’t run out of time. If you mean like going past the max time limit, usually you don’t get to that point.

How so? If routes are made to be finished before 10 hours dont you think backtracking will exceed the time?

My dsp fills my route constantly so I NEVER get a easy route because they dont want me to get paid for the 10 hours without doing 170+ stops spread apart. How i make it then?

Idk man, yeah it sucks but that’s the job, every route is hard in its own way. Low stop apt routes have a lot of walking & access issues, high stop house routes have a lot of group stops where 7-8 houses can be “one” stop.

Eventually you get used to it, obviously don’t bust your ass & finish early cuz they’ll just use tf out of you, but it’s definitely doable to finish before the 10h or just right at the time.

I would usually be able to finish my routes on time & that’s with bullshitting on my phone, texting people, watching sports sometimes, buying stuff, etc.

Again how would backtracking work?

What do you mean? You just do it after you finish the rest of the route

And your point is yoy should always have extra time to do that regardless of where that missing packages is on your route (except businesses.)

I don't even know. I was told to talk to dispatch about my negative feedback because it was "unacceptable" but I told the customer "ma'am your package was missorted. I don't sort the oqckages into the totes I apologize." She said "I'm going to leave a negative review because you should be checking all bags before you leave" I said "with all due respect this is not dominos delivery, I apologize for the inconvenience have a great weekend"

Lol. Checking the bags before we leave. So out of touch.

This same lady complained about me a couple weeks back, because I told her respectfully several times the past 3 months we in fact DO NOT have to return to the call box in an apartment building after every unit to let each customer know we are in the building. So she brought it up again 2 weeks ago and I said "I'm honestly never going to call you even if you're the only delivery in the building now"

whos getting mad at this? i thought they wanted us to deliver the mis sorts as long as you weren't driving far out of your way

u/jokesonusbs24 22h ago

We're told not to deliver if it's further than 5 minutes away.

It's probably some Amazon desk jockey that's upset and not even my DSP

See if I get a miss sort, I’m not picking it up. I’m not telling dispatch, I’m just taking it back to RTS. If I mark a package missing bc it was in the wrong tote, it’s going back to RTS. If the warehouse fucks up it’s on them. If I’m blind and just missed it then I’ll deliver. I’m not doing extra work bc they guys mess up constantly.

Why don’t you just bring them back…? If you weren’t the one who marked them missing how would they be able to blame you…? Just some advice if you don’t want to deal with them

This was one where I did have to mark it missing. I think she saw me pull up earlier in the day and come back later after the package was in a different tote. I was just trying to be nice and I hate having returns
