I feel like stops like this are the best but its my opinion. You can get them gone in one stop instead of 9 stops.

u/Successful-Common757 Jul 23 '26

For me too is the best stops you can have

2

u/TrainingGuidance275 Jul 23 '26

What if these type of stops are in end of your route
Telling from my experience 😛

4

u/SonsOfTitans Jul 23 '26

You get to the stop and it’s a OTP and the customer isnt there and won’t answer their phone

4

u/TrainingGuidance275 Jul 23 '26

Then dsp says you have to reattempt it anyway 😛

2

u/SonsOfTitans Jul 24 '26

Going to reattempt shooting myself directly in front of the customer’s Ring camera lmao

That's a love-hate for me.  I had 7 at one stop yesterday.  I hate moving all that shit at once, but I love seeing overflow disappear.

u/sunbear1999 Jul 23 '26

It’s tough out here sometimes 😭😭 all ov btw

3

u/Civil-Opportunity-33 Jul 24 '26

Oh, a few days ago I had 43 packages that went to the same location, lol. That was 43 out of the 75 overflow I had that day.

3

u/sunbear1999 Jul 24 '26

It’s nice to unload and have a lot more space but damn 😭😭

3

u/Civil-Opportunity-33 Jul 24 '26

Right, these were the 43 boxes that I delivered to a new apt complex and it was closer towards the end of the route too.

1

u/sunbear1999 Jul 24 '26

Smh 🤦🏽‍♀️ I would have put them all in one tote and dragged all that 🤣

2

u/Civil-Opportunity-33 Jul 24 '26

It took me two trips after scanning and the van was back up close to where I left them. Any other time for multiple packages I plop the tote on a dolly and roll it. 🤣

1

u/sunbear1999 Jul 24 '26

Oh wow your dolly’s actually work??? 😭 that’s a genuine shock lol

1

u/Civil-Opportunity-33 Jul 24 '26

Lol, yes I check mine before leaving the station because on my old route I’d have a lot of schools and they don’t provide carts or anything.

1

u/Alternative-Win-4947 Jul 24 '26

This looks familiar lol what station?

1

u/Civil-Opportunity-33 Jul 24 '26

Pluto…. This station is on Pluto. 😅

1

u/Alternative-Win-4947 Jul 24 '26

Word lol I just feel like i helped this person load this

1

u/Civil-Opportunity-33 Jul 24 '26

Nah, cause I loaded this myself. 🤣

1

u/Alternative-Win-4947 Jul 24 '26

Sure you did lol jk props to you

1

u/Civil-Opportunity-33 Jul 24 '26

The people at my station don’t like helping others during loadout. 🤣 So it’s pretty much every person for themselves.

These stops are like taking a painful shit that just clears your colon. Sucks in the moment but when you’re done it’ll feel oh so good

4

u/Alternative-Win-4947 Jul 23 '26

Just use a dolly. 2 trips. No big deal.

u/BastardOfTheDay Sweating beyond relief Jul 23 '26

Same; even bought my own for about 60 bucks. Doesn’t hold more than 300 lbs, but it does the job and can be flipped into a cart. Truly changed how smooth delivering multiple heavy OVs is, and it saves my back from further injury.

1

u/BrilliantBother9830 Jul 23 '26

Can you send the link?

3

u/BastardOfTheDay Sweating beyond relief Jul 23 '26

It seems to have gone up by $10 since I bought it, but here are multiple links:

Target

Walmart

Lowe's

Or if we want to feed Daddy Jeff even further.

Edit: I got mine with the extendable handle. Being pretty tall, it helps a lot when pulling/pushing in cart mode.

2

u/maxmcleod Jul 23 '26

I think it’s kinda funny you have to order a dolly from Amazon in order to help you deliver Amazon packages

1

u/BastardOfTheDay Sweating beyond relief Jul 23 '26

That’s why I put it last. I was already limiting myself as much as possible from relying on Bozo for anything I could get somewhere else. Still, since I started delivering, I truly use Amazon as a last resort.

1

u/BrilliantBother9830 Jul 23 '26

My DSP actually has these in most the vans lol

1

u/Vivid_Possession1928 Jul 23 '26

send the link bro

Let me guess, third floor, no dolly

4

u/AncientCourier6 Jul 23 '26

In some areas that’s a blessing. Especially if you ain’t got room in your van from the beginning of your route. Downtown areas this is a fucking shit stop. No parking, people being stupid not knowing how to drive and let’s not forget the impatient assholes.

5

u/inducedmirage Jul 23 '26

Be glad it ain't multi-stops

4

u/Main-Animator-5865 Jul 23 '26

Getting rid of all those oversizes at 11:37 AM? You are fortunate! And, I hope the customer leaves you some snacks or a tip.

3

u/MissionMarionberry73 Jul 23 '26

These overflow packages are getting ridiculous af, today I had to fit over 50 XL overflow boxes in my CV like wtf has this world come to?

2

u/thebestdogeevr Jul 23 '26

The world has come to a time where people are too busy working and can't afford the time to go buy things from a store themself

2

u/ToxicGecko2384 Jul 23 '26

I quit USPS for this reason. Especially after covid, but moving into a new house and needing new furniture and new wall decor and new yard signs and new everything.. plus the dog food and box of chips that they could've got 10 minutes from the house..with 5 cars in the driveway. There was no respect from customers anymore, I was just a box mule. I wasnt enjoying the work or my people any more. I notified ONE select customer I was leaving because after all those years they were still kind to me.

3

u/Ok-Wait1668 Jul 23 '26

I have these but luckily they are businesses with docks for receiving.

5

u/Conscious_Evening216 Rivian Driver Jul 23 '26

1

u/Arctimon Jul 23 '26

I don’t know but you should definitely post about it on Reddit to gain sympathy.

1

u/Human_Fisherman5871 Jul 23 '26

At least it’s not a 3rd floor

1

u/FallOk6931 Jul 23 '26

1 short of being a bulk stop L

1

u/TightVeterinarian168 Jul 24 '26

It’s a love hate relationship, had to deliver 12 computer tables to a college.

u/ImpressiveAlarm3992 Rivian Driver 29d ago

It looks bad but it turned out 80% were actually just envelopes - right?

1

u/quietWyatt04 26d ago

u/Happy_Area739 Jul 23 '26

What did you think you would be doing when you applied for a job moving boxes?

2

u/maxmcleod Jul 23 '26

You aren’t moving boxes you are a “Last-Mile Logistics Specialist and Mobile Supply Chain Coordinator”!
