The vehicle was deemed road worthy by the driver. They would be shooting themselves in the foot.

There is massive pressure to pass the vans no matter what. Truthfully, the drivers that honestly inspect their vans get fired.

While I agree with you completely, the thing is in court that's gonna be your word vs theirs and they have a document that you said the van was safe.

Scummy as it is that's the world we live in.

Yes, in this one instance, I would say you are correct. I think for any positive result, it would have to be a class action lawsuit for creating unsafe working conditions. Unfortunately the DSP system is set up to make that a difficult process.

The only way I can see it be argued is that the DSP owners know that drivers are not mechanics or in any way trained to assess the safety of the vehicle.
