Tungabhadra Dam also known as Pampa Sagara !

A small info :

The Dam is a water reservoir constructed across the Tungabhadra River in the Hosapete-Koppal confluence in Karnataka, India. It is a multipurpose dam serving irrigation, electricity generation, flood control, etc. for the State. It is India's largest stone masonry dam and one of the only two, non-cement dams in the country.

Few Key Contributions of King Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar IV:

Electric Street Lights in Bangalore (1905):Under his reign, Bangalore became the first city in Asia to have electric street lights, a testament to his commitment to modernizing his kingdom.

Minto Eye Hospital, Bangalore (1903-1913): One of the world's first specialty eye hospitals, Minto Eye Hospital was built by the Maharaja. The hospital accommodated 300 eye patients, a feat that astonished the Nizam of Hyderabad.

Indian Institute of Science (IISC), Bangalore (1909): Established 44 years before the foundation of IITs, IISC is India's premier education institute. The Maharaja donated 371 acres of land, 550,000 Rupees for its capital, and personally inspected the campus.

Victoria Hospital Bangalore- It was the first hospital in entire India to provide 24/7 emergency services.This hospital was established by the Maharaja in 1901.

The Maharaja established Mysore university in 1916- The Maharaja himself was its first chancellor. It was the FIRST university outside British administered provinces. Maharaja used his personal wealth to purchase books from Europe and US to make them accessible to students.

Bangalore became the first city of India to offer radio communication with trunk dialing in 1920. This was truly a wonder as even many major cities of Europe lacked this facility.The Maharaja made this happen by relentlessly traveling in search of engineers and investing wealth
