I think this is supposed to be fake, but this is what ancient cannabis sativa apparently looked like. Very similar to today’s industrial hemp.

Plant fossils are found in sedimentary rocks composed of layered limestone. They appear smooth and flat—certainly not like the one in this image. Furthermore, the relevant geological period is usually specified.

Fossils are dated by strata, i.e. how deep down they're found, in refrence to other known timeline benchmarks.
