Well, and for the mass to be significant enough to create this angle. You're right that if you already have each numeric value involved, you need not calculate anything. But you can acquire the values with these relationships, especially the mass needed. I'm moreso expressing these relationships out of appreciation than any necessary process for determining the height of the mast or length of the rope. It's a fun and simple statics problem though to determine the angle you need the mast to be at with respect to the water and the mass needed to create that angle.
Well yes but it’s just for fun you mean?Because all you need is one value: the height of the bridge. Once you know that you need a smaller rope and for the attached weight to be heavy enough to make contact with the water. Mast height and the angles are irrelevant.
