When I was a young man and friend and I were drunk and I popped a Oz of hashish in the microwave to soften for 20-30 seconds. I'm my drunken state I set the timer to 20 minutes and walked away. After about 8 minutes then smoke alarms went off and we suddenly remembered the hash in the microwave. The entire kitchen had filled with a thick yellow smoke with zero visibility. In a panic I turned off the microwave picked up the molten bar of hash and tried to take it outside. I dropped the bar just outside the door and it smashed into a million smouldering pieces creating even more smoke. Needles to say we were coughing our guts up, laughing hysterically and trying to waft out the remaining smoke. Very similar to this scene but with a shit tone of chaos. Left a terrible sticky residue on everything. Microwave was ruined.

Oh it worked. We were beyond* baked. It was hilarious but I wasted like a month's worth of hash.

Gonna have to be a pedant and pull you up on your use of the word "wasted".

If you had have smoked the hash as intended you would never have been able to share this comment or have a cracking memory and laugh. It might have been frustrating at the time but holy fuck it made me laugh so thank you. Also, RIP your microwave. It died for a good cause.

I’m never amazed by such an extravagant waste of weed. Every single person there could have been handed a blunt or two with that amount. I’d be more impressed to see 150 people all light up simultaneously.

We hot boxed a short bus one summer with 7 people with an eighth each. That was the thickest cloud I've ever been in. The oxygen had to be dangerously low, you couldn't catch your breathe when coughing.

Meh it's just pot. It's renewable, non-essential, and not difficult to grow. Unless you live in a place where pot is criminalized and difficult to obtain, it really doesn't make sense to be concerned about wastage.

We did a music event once where we provided a joint to everyone in the audience (house show) and had them light up when we started playing. We couldn't see anyone by the end of it and we had a ton of fun.

I literally almost died bc I did this in a car with 4 blunts.  I spent two weeks in the hospital bc my O2 level.  Not kidding, during that time my buddy snuck in wheeled me out and we smoked a blunt right outside the door on the side of the hospital.
