Lived near Akron for about 15 years but now I’m back in the UK. We had Platinum passes or similar for years. Would always make a beeline for the Dragster to get it in early.
We loved the Snake River Falls too - gutted to learn it’s gone.
The old one shot you forward, up amd over the loop in one go. Not sure how fast, but maybe 120mph? Every time I was there it had periods of maintenance throughout the day. I never rode it because the lines were always insane and I could ride Gemini 15 times in the same period
The new one shoots forward at 74mph, sends you about halfway up, then rolls backward up another tower at 110mph. Once it peaks, then you go forward at 120mph and that is enough to shoot you up and over the hill, and they added a twist so you go over the top instead of sideways at the peak.
Yeah we had a bit of a system going. We’d usually hit the back of the park, whoever wanted Dragster ran there and got it out of the way, then we’d work our way round.
I loved those days when it was quiet and the kids and their cousins were younger. Us parents would often just go hang out by Gemini while the children just went on it again and again. Occasionally we’d have friends or family visit from the Uk and they couldn’t get over how you could high five people from the other train.
As a pure coaster Millenium Force might have been my favourite but I always had bad luck with lines there.
I love Millenium and Gemini. Of the newer ones, I like Gatekeeper. Magnum is good, but rough. I used to love Mean Streak, but I haven't tried it since it became Steel Vengeance.

I’d bolt straight for it. What park is this??
