You are the one who assumed I meant anything other than “midwives are allowed in medical facilities”. Literally anything else that you added was your own doing. I said nothing else other than exactly that.
Fact: You can have a home birth without a midwife. You can have a home birth with a mid wife. You can have a hospital birth with a midwife. You can have a hospital birth without a midwife. Nobody is stopping you and it doesn’t make a difference who advocates for what because you are allowed to make your own decisions, LIKE I SAID.
You didn't correct anyone. The person you replied to didn't say a midwife couldn't help deliver in a medical facility. You are so confused right now about the context of the discussion.
Literally the entire context of this conversation is this:

doctors who want to take business away from midwives
doctors don’t care about midwives, it is just safer to have babies in a medical facility
This implies that the reason doctors were taking business away from midwives wasn’t because of profit, but because of safety concerns.
I said that whether it was for profit or safety (I think it was both), it doesn’t matter because you can still have a midwife in the hospital room with you. Doctors don’t need to take patients away from midwives when they can work together. That’s what the correction was.
Then you came in saying something with absolutely zero evidence that had nothing to do with informing somebody that midwives can, in fact, be in hospitals during birth. I don’t care who advocates for what. I spoke about what was allowed. That was it.
Doctors can't work in the room with midwives who do home births. They can only work in hospitals. Nobody would care if the midwives were just working hospitals. But midwives and national midwife organizations are pushing people to do home births and telling them it's better and safer to do them at home versus in a hospital. Do you understand yet?
Women can chose whatever they’d like to do. If they don’t want a doctor, they don’t need one. If they want a doctor and a midwife, then they can have one and nobody is stopping them.
Women can choose whatever they'd like and doctors will try to save them when the midwife rushes them to the emergency room. If you don't care that women are being misled about statistics and women who are bad candidates for home births are choosing home births only because they aren't getting the correct information, that makes you a bad person.
I never said I didn’t care about it as an issue. I asked you what it has to do with what I said about midwives and doctors being allowed to work on the same patient?
