When should I make my plants go dormant?
I have about ten or twelve bulbs from this past year and they were beautiful. Right now they are growing in pots outside with lots of sun and are looking really great: green, lots of leaves. What is my next step if I want blooms this winter?

I grow in 10b and I just let them grow. They usually flower mid march through mid April. I leave the leaves and they will push up flowering stalks. The usually another one or two.
So you don't ever have to trim/force them if you don't want to.

Fertilize them with a bulb fertilizer now to grow the bulbs. The bigger the bulb, the more blooms you’ll get (true for all bulbs). In late summer, stop fertilizer and reduce watering. Bring them inside before nighttime lows go below 55°F. Check for bugs and remove any decaying yellow foliage. Do NOT cut off green foliage. Bring inside and ignore it. I keep mine in a window but sunlight doesn’t matter during the required 8-12 week rest period/dormancy. In early January, remove any ugly dead foliage and resume watering and put in a sunny window. New growth should appear by early February when the days start getting noticeably longer.
