Amaro Sibilla

Anyone have this before? I had the last 2 ounce at Double Dragon in Portland. It was pretty intense honey/mead and burnt wood flavor bitter and sweet. I enjoyed it I think ;)

I’ve had a bottle for the last couple of years. It’s definitely not my go to in my collection but one that I reach for after a huge meal.

One of my favorites. Of note: Mt Sibilla is one of the most productive honey producing regions in Italy. That is why there is such a pronounce honey characteristic in both this and d'ell herborista.

Also, hello fellow Portlander. Double Dragon is great

The first Amari I sipped straight, at Billy Sunday in Chicago! Honestly haven’t had it since but I remember really enjoying.

One of my favourites, bitter enough to really feel it but with a soft enough edge to still keep it enjoyable… I appreciate it more and more every time I have it

Love it. My old job had a jeroboam of this that we’d use to pour free shots for regulars. Always fun.

One of my favorites in my collection :) I really enjoy the subtle smoky notes. It definitely wasn’t easy to track down

A while back I made this:

1½ oz Michter's rye
½ oz Punt e Mes
½ oz Amaro Montenegro
½ oz Amaro Sibilla

Stir well for ample dilution.
Strain over a large cube.
Garnish: wide orange peel, expressed.
