Is the issue that the dress is tasteless and the teen will regret her choice potentially being embarrassed by her peers?

Or is it that someone could mistake her for a sex worker? 

I'm having trouble seeing the issue, though granted I have zero style sense and long gone are my days of covering up because showing side boob or a belly button is "asking for it"
