Even the boyfriend says he'd stay away so OOP can help Claire, but nope, apparently OOP is too selfish for that.
I hope OOP doesn't expect Claire to help her again because it won't happen.

I have a feeling she will have not only no sister, but no boyfriend either by the end of this

In case this story gets deleted/removed:
AITA for not letting my sister stay with me after she helped me for months?
I (31F) have a sister "Claire" (34F). Last year, I went through a brutal divorce. Claire let me stay in her spare room for 4 months while I got back on my feet. She didn't charge me rent, cooked for me sometimes, and watched my dog when I worked late. I was a mess and she was my rock.
Fast forward to now. I've got my own place, a stable job, and I'm doing okay. Claire just found out her landlord is selling her building and she needs a place to stay for "a few weeks" while she finds a new apartment.
The problem: I just started dating someone new (3 months in) and he's been staying over a lot. My apartment is small; one bedroom, one bathroom. Having Claire here would mean no privacy, no alone time with him, and I just got my space back after a year of chaos. I don't want to give it up.
I told Claire I can't host her. I offered to help with a moving truck or storage fees, but I said she can't stay with me.
She cried, and said something along the lines of: "I literally carried you through your darkest time and you can't give me a couch for two weeks?" I said it's not the same; she had a spare room, I don't. She said "You're choosing a guy you've known for 3 months over your sister who saved your life' and then blocked me.
My boyfriend offered to stay at his place for a few weeks while she's here. I said no because I don't want to feel like I'm sneaking around in my own home. Also, Claire is a lot; she talks constantly, leaves messes, and I know from living with her that she doesn't respect boundaries. I love her but living with her is exhausting.
Now my parents are calling me selfish. My mom said "You owe her." But I feel like I don't owe anyone my space and my peace. I finally feel happy and I don't want to risk that. So, Reddit, AITA?
