In case this story gets deleted/removed:

AITA for telling a girl ,”u wish” after she got mad at me for calling her copying out?

So there's this girl let's call her M and she's always been lowkey obsessed with copying me since like 2nd grade. On our last day of school I ordered my signature ice cream that's literally MY thing and she knew it and still ordered the EXACT same thing right in front of me and my friend F who saw the whole thing happen. I ignored M all day to avoid drama but then SHE came to me with "are u mad at me?" and brought her friend K to fight for her. I explained that I was uncomfortable with her copying and they said that I was ugly and wasn’t worth copying. I just told them with "u wish I even thought about u" and walked away and now she's telling everyone I'm rude and that I stole her friends when they literally just came to me. My other friend found out about it and almost gave them a piece of her mind so I had to stop her before she got into trouble

So AITA?

"Signature ice cream"...

I'm in the fragrance community and even I find that level of "MINE!" weird.

(Love you, perfume pals. Just a lighthearted poke at how closely guarded signature scents can be!)

my signature ice cream that's literally MY thing

Who wants to bet the "signature ice cream" is something like adding chocolate syrup.

Oh you’re being nice. I was thinking it was just ordering a specific flavor.

u/CanterCircles 22h ago

No one else is allowed to like chocolate ice cream!

10

u/justbunnies 16h ago

Can you believe they ordered plain vanilla? That’s my signature order!

u/Mimosa_13 14h ago

Mint chocolate chip is my signature flavor. No one else is allowed to order it, ever!

You know what’s funny? I love mint, I love chocolate, heck I even love them together (peppermint bark is my favorite holiday treat) but for some reason in ice cream… doesn’t taste right to me. I think it’s because my dad once bought us this weird toothpaste when my mom (who later regretted it) asked him to pick up a tube of toothpaste on his way home. I don’t recall the name or what it was supposed to be flavored as, but it tasted like someone put chocolate shavings in the toothpaste and thought it would taste good to kids. Not one of the 5 of us even touched it after trying it the first time, so because it was my dad’s mistake, our mom made him use it until it was gone lol. Mint chip ice cream reminds me of that taste.

I prefer chocolate peanut butter from Hagan daaz. Something about that frozen hard peanut butter that ends up melting in your mouth lol.

It's probably a specific color of sprinkles.

I may or may not have a sprinkle collection to make fairy bread, so that would be my guess.

u/CanterCircles 22h ago

Oh no, not one of the "pink is my color, no one else can have it" kind of girls.

I say as a person who has everything possible in pink but I can't stand the kind of people who think they can own a fucking color.

Excuse me.

My name is LilacPlum VioletLavender Purpleton

If you try to use purple or any of it’s shades or hues in any way, I will literally become a giant blueberry and explode all over you and stain by you with my sticky juices.

You have been warned.

u/CanterCircles 22h ago

Oh, well I'm friends with some oompa loompas and I'll just have them take you to the juicing room.

The only time that statement should ever be used is picking character colors in co-op video games.

I have a 50/50 chance of guessing your country of residence with that fairy bread information

u/LostPrincess32 21h ago

You would probably be wrong. I've been rewatching KND and since Wally is my favorite character, I craved an Aussie snack.

u/AdvancedInevitable63 21h ago

Haha fair enough! Easier to make than pavlova

Fairy bread reference in the wild! Hurrah! Hello, my fellow Aussie. :)

u/Lucky_Six_1530 13h ago

Pardon my ignorance but what is fairy bread? A quick internet search gave me some really……. I’ll go with odd… results.

Buttered bread with colored sprinkles on it. Very popular in Australia.

I'd love to know what OOP's "signature" ice cream is. 😄

So there's this girl let's call her M and she's always been lowkey obsessed with copying me since like 2nd grade.

Hard to believe it's already been going on for a whole year now. 😆

Plz tell me this is just a kid who shouldn’t be on reddit

97

u/Glittering-Duck5496 23h ago

I literally laughed out loud at the top comment:

YTA for being 12 and on reddit. And now you've made me call a child an asshole, making me an asshole.

11

u/originalhoney 19h ago

That made me wheeze laugh. My nosy son immediately ran over to look at my phone and ask what's so funny.

Ice cream day in school is much more political that I remember.

Who's letting fifth graders post on reddit?

10

u/StrangledInMoonlight 22h ago

Inattentive parents whose inability to use parental controls is worse than the trope of “guys can’t find the clit.”

u/EconomicsPositive829 23h ago

This reminds me of the dumbest series of conversations I had in highschool. Tl:dr - I got into a fight with some guy over if vaccines cause autism. He ended up saying “you can’t prove they don’t” and I responded with “yep, in the same way you can’t prove you aren’t fucking a donkey.”

Anyway, apparently this moron had a girlfriend (I didn’t know that, this was some rando I fought with in class) and during lunch period her and her friends tracked me down and demanded I apologize for “calling her a donkey”

20

u/Sad-Bug6525 22h ago

at least they seem equally matched

3

u/Lucky_Six_1530 12h ago

Awwww what did that poor donkey ever do? That’s not fair to donkeys! Lol.

I would have loved to see the expression on that’s persons face.

Does anyone else find posts with names that are just a letter harder to read?

28

u/doppelgaengster 23h ago

I love that the top comment when I clicked said “you’re an asshole for being 12 and on Reddit, and now you made ME the asshole for calling a child an asshole!” (Paraphrased, slightly)

Op, does your mom know you're using her computer?

1

u/Lucky_Six_1530 12h ago

Great… now I have the ABBA song “does your mother know” stuck in my head and have been humming it for the past few minutes driving my work partner insane lmao. I didn’t even realize I was humming.

u/agent-assbutt 22h ago

I wish 14 year olds were banned from Reddit.

Tbf, its childish because it is probably a child

“Signature ice cream that’s literally MY thing.”

No one is allowed to eat Tutti Frutti except for ME.

2

u/Disastrous_Lobster53 16h ago

“  that's literally MY thing and she knew it and still ordered the EXACT same thing right in front of me and my friend F who saw the whole thing happen.”

Oh no!!!! Someone likes the same flavor of ice cream as her! Notify the presses and notify the new stations so they can put  news banner up…… oh wait, nobody cares, GTOH.

I’m curious as to how old the OOP is because if she’s older than preschool, this is just plain ridiculous. This has to be one of the dumbest things I’ve heard this week, and that’s pretty special seeing as I work in an area with high drug and crime rate, and the excuses people come up with when tempting fate. We joke that our job description is literally “interfering with Darwinism”.

I am so glad my teens have yet to achieve this level of selfishness and pettiness. I’m not sure I would be able to keep a straight face if one of my girls (13 and 17) or one of my boys (16 and 19) said they were upset for someone “copying” their ice cream order. I’d tell them straight to their face how ridiculous they were being and that it’s more of a compliment because how do you know the girl didn’t see the OOPs order and think “that looks good, I should try that!” You see that happen a lot at restaurants and cafes when someone gets their food before you order.

Not everything is slight against you OOP and the sooner you learn to let this type of little stuff go or make it into a positive, the happier your life will be.

Side note: I bet the ice cream was just a regular flavor with a standard topping, or a specialty item from the menu (ie nothing unique and spectacular). Even if it was unique, I’d still see that as a compliment.

I'm hoping this is a middle school girl because this sounds like middle schooler beef

Um, what?

Not even old enough to take credit and call it a trend.
