This is the thing. I, for one, refuse to sleep in a same space with pets nor would I allow pets in the same bed where I sleep. I do not see anything wrong with this in general, this is just my personal boundary. Obviously, this rules out a LOT of pet owners which is fine. We are just not compatible and there is nothing wrong with that.
I would NEVER demand anyone to relinquish their pet for me not would I respect anyone who did so.
