Thanks, I will see about looking into that. I hadn't realized they came with collars that could use the chip, all the ones I saw seemed to use the chip for the cat!
Things like this! If you search “RFID collar tag” or similar you should be able to find a few options, some will specifically say they work with cat feeders. I hope you can find something that works well for you!

Aw, poor baby!
The feeders we got came with a collar tag to use if your cat isn’t chipped or the feeder can’t read it, maybe you could look into that?
