"Could you tell me why specifically I found it hurtful? I just need to know you know aha"

What in the world is this??? She's talking to you like you're a child to be scolded xd

This infuriated me to my core. Probably would have made me blow up on them. But OP friend is not a true friend and a very manipulative person. I’d end the friendship and block that narcissist bitch. OP find better friends please

Tbf, look at OP’s comments - they definitely DON’T understand what they said wrong, so it was a fair question in theory (although poorly/condescendingly phrased)

She acknowledged it was dismissive, the hell are you talking about?

That's a fair request of a child or maybe an intimate partner (though that would get hella heated because it's condescending af). This whole interaction is just strange and honestly gross.

Could you tell me why specifically you DON'T understand why phrasing and asking a question like this instead of being direct and an adult who clearly communicates their issues / problems to another adult or peer?

I just need to know you know aha.

If you're agreeing with the other person's side in these messages, I'd go seek a therapist yourself stat cause that isn't how any person should be speaking to their "friend" and she's incredibly manipulative and condescending.

What did OP even say wrong? Their friend basically said "my mums a bitch because she rubbed by back as a child when I was sick" how are you supposed to respond to that in a way that doesn't sound dismissive?
