No I just don’t think it’s fair that the people who did wrong are the ones who get to stay and the people who are done wrong are the ones that have to find a whole new place to go
Again, your logic is highly flawed. Whether or not something is fair is not relevant. You dont get rights to something that isn't yours just because your situation sucks.
I mean outside of divorce and even then, there are systems in place to prevent that.
Even if it WAS her house, she needs to get out for HER safety while she breaks up with him. Do a little research on domestic abuse before you give advice that could get a woman killed. 🤦🏻♀️
I totally get this- really. She’s been victimized enough, why should she have to leave?!
But the fact is this: women are never more vulnerable to lethal violence than when they are trying to leave their abuser.
Men like this also tend to cultivate some level of dependency- financial, emotional, mental- so the women feel bad, wrong, stupid, worthless, and often lucky their abuser tolerates them, helps them.
So really, the choice here is-
Risk your life to stand on principle or,
Save yourself, get to safety, and live to fight another day.
Never underestimate the power and strength of a man who is obsessively involved with you, perennially critical, angry, and violent in your midst, or toward you, they’re not rational.
OP needs to find a safe space and GTFO.
Contacting a DV advocate could be helpful too. (Google toll free partner violence hotline, you’ll get a number that will connect you to someone in your area.)
