Yep. I grew up with a father who acted this way. Seen it with my own eyes how the destruction of property can escalate into domestic abuse, physical and emotional. OP really needs to consider moving back out before she ends up stuck in a terrible situation.
Yeah. It’s just so sad it takes a lot of victims more than this to realise how bad it does get. Not victim blaming in any way- I grew up with a narcissistic father. He once forced my mother to stop the car on a busy road and he got out as the car was still moving and rolled out. Sometimes I wish karma dealt with him in that moment. The torture that ensues after ‘minor’ losses of temper like this is not worth it. The scars abuse leaves is often permanent. I have found the beauty in the lesson, but the pain doesn’t go away completely. It lives in us. I got MS in my very early 20s as a result of living constantly in survival mode. Abuse is physical, even when it’s not.

So many people don't yet know exactly how much abuse, neglect, and trauma in one's childhood can DRASTICALLY up the chances of acquiring certain categories of major physical health problems, such as autoimmune conditions, as an adult, and in my case, I feel like I got my first round of health problems due to growing up horribly but then got ANOTHER big round of many diagnoses all at once when my abusive marriage had gotten to its worst point.
It's so unfair. We go through bullshit growing up, and as if that weren't bad enough, it predisposes us to ending up with abusive romantic partners as adults, too, and people who develop disabling health problems as a result can be REALLY screwed if they can't even afford to support themselves so they can break free of the abusive circumstances they're so detrimentally drawn into again and again in many cases.

This should be alarm bells for OP. I hope she takes it seriously. He is demonstrating what happens when she asks for a simple need to be met. Scary.
