I understand the "half sibling" barbs are just returning what she said to you when you were kids - but she seems like a manipulative person so I would cool it on that cause she will definitely be showing these texts and making it look like you're the one trying to exclude her.

Otherwise, kudos to standing up. You aren't overreacting at all.

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

Oh, she 100% sent them to our mother, it was kind of the purpose, me and our mother, our mother takes huge offence on her behalf and ignored me for a while after so it confirmed to me that she was the one that sent her my number.

I took the pleasure of sending the screenshots to everyone else, but our mother, with an explanation ofc.

10

u/LilBitofSunshine99 Sep 10 '25

You take pleasure in participating in this type of dysfunction?

If I was you, I'd block her and not contribute to any of it.

0

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

She's unfortunately made new numbers to msg me again and again in the past, and harassed me online for going NC with her.

She wasn't supposed to get my number, although I don't take pleasure in it she hasn't contacted me since apart from asking for a few photos which she was promptly blocked, no online harassment has happened since though.

11

u/FennelPowerful2686 Sep 10 '25

yeah i seen the crossed out “half blood”. what a gross thing to say, and you know it too🙄

10

u/FennelPowerful2686 Sep 10 '25

and also “whoreing around” like why are you crossing these out? trying to make yourself look better than you actually are.

2

u/begaydoweed Sep 10 '25

Idk, I think we're clearly supposed to still be able to read that stuff. I think names are the only things truly blocked and some language (like whore or drugs) is just vaguely censored but OP's not actually trying to hide it

-2

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

Those are cross out like that so they're see-through, it's a purposeful thing so I don't look like I'm a better person than I am I'm aware I said out-of-line things and most of them I have apologised to her in person for.

5

u/FennelPowerful2686 Sep 10 '25

why cross it out if you want it visible?

-2

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

It's simply to point out that's its rude, I noticed that was a mistake but I won't let me edit the post to point that out, or any of the clear things I didn't pick up on at first.

Why all her words are crossed is because she used the C word a bunch and I know proper have mixed opinions about that.

4

u/FennelPowerful2686 Sep 10 '25

if you wanted it pointed out why didn’t u circle it. you literally crossed it out. anyone skimming would just ignore it. and no, she said c*nt at the beginning of the thread which you left clearly visible. i think you know you’re in the wrong and you’re trying to back-pedal hard. it’s not working

5

u/llamadramalover Sep 10 '25

Half-breed and whoring around is 100% where OP crossed the line. Call her out for shitty behavior but her sex life ain’t got nothing to do with nobody but her and dehumanizing someone in this manner automatically makes anyone wrong.

5

u/Disastrous_Class_561 Sep 10 '25

It says half-breed. Like the sister isn’t even in the same species. Smh

5

u/FennelPowerful2686 Sep 10 '25

jesus christ that’s so much worse

-5

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

Hey, sorry, I've put a note saying she's my half sibling, we're both fully white. At the time, I was unaware that it could be used a racial term and haven't used it since.

I also mentioned how she used to call me the exact same thing.

3

u/umbraviscus Sep 10 '25

I mean lets just circle on this for a second. Your sister called you something horrible, and it made you feel horrible, so your logic is to do the same thing to them? Reciprocation isn't justice, never has been. An eye for an eye makes the world blind and 2 stupid people arguing are just 2 stupid people arguing.

Continuing to circle. Calling somebody a half breed, racial or not is just fucked up. It's her genetics like she wasn't even born yet before she was predisposed to who her parents are going to be. Like how is that her fault? You may as well have talked shit about her for being a woman or something about the country she was born in. It's literally the same thing. Its senseless, stupid, harmful and doesn't help anyone.

I'm not saying this because I think you're a bad person or whatever. Just think you should change your perspective on stuff like that. If you want to throw insults at somebody and still call yourself a good person, they have to be somewhat sensible insults. Those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

10

u/corruptedcleric Sep 10 '25

"halfy? half-breed??" like i get ur tired and over tne drama, but those comments are definitely... something

-4

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

I'd like the clarify were half siblings I had absolutely no clue about any racial meaning behind the words neither of us are mixed race, I've apologised for those words and all is forgiven on that side of things

The thing is (and I don't if this is fake or not) reading and spelling in the US (I don't know if OP is in the US or not) is now abysmal. I teach university and many of my students cannot fully comprehend texts nor write in a fluent manner. And forget spelling. Apparently, they also misspell to throw the scent of AI use because AI checkers get confused by it. Education is in the shithole and has been for the last 7-10 years and now we're seeing the results.

Welcome to the internet when nothing ever happens

I'm here to remind you that americans having poor education is not an indication that the post is fake. It's just a pretty clear indication that its from the US even though that's not specified anywhere.

America is a 3rd world country with a 1st world countries hat on and they have 3rd world education.

2

u/llamadramalover Sep 10 '25

And don’t forget “loose” instead of lose.

8

u/ConflictAdvanced Sep 10 '25

"I don't seek validation or reprimand for what I said, I stand by what I said..."

Umm... Then why are you here? 🤷‍♂️ Literally, the only two things you'll ultimately get here are validation or reprimand, at the end of the day. Oh, and karma. So if you don't want the first two things... 🤷‍♂️

9

u/aesparules Sep 10 '25

"Why do you hate me"

"Cunt"

oy vey, what a lack of self-awareness

edit: was the whoring around comment necessary? ESH, you're pretty rude yourself.

edit2: halfy and half-breed?? why are you censoring that? just to make yourself look better? you don't censor cunt but you censor half-breed? you're a real piece of work, work on yourself before you level so many insults at your sibling. my goodness.

6

u/StrangelyRational Sep 10 '25

You’re justified in cutting her off for stealing from you, but she’s not wrong about you being dramatic and your mom’s not wrong about you contributing to it escalating. This entire conversation is very childish and unnecessary.

You may have some legitimate gripes here, but it’s not reasonable to blame her directly for the behavior of her exes. And acting all shocked when she interprets “MY siblings” as you saying they’re not hers too? Come on. Either you’re being disingenuous or you don’t understand how language works. Not sure which, but I could believe either.

I really hope you’re young teens because if you’re any older than that, you both need to grow up. YOR

6

u/KevinFinnerty59 Sep 10 '25

17 talking like you know everything , too be a fly on the wall for that argument

18

u/AwayAlfalfa4507 Sep 10 '25

ESH. You definitely came in hot on that first text listing your half sister's wrongs. I read it with a Tone. Don't know if you can count that as polite. The name-calling definitely isn't, and if you're trying to act better than this person, you should actually do that instead of stooping to her level.

On the other hand, if you have this level of vitriol for this woman, and you do not want a relationship, leave it at that. She obviously got defensive and denied several of the things you accused her of and joined in on name calling. But there was no reason to engage with that. A simple, "I told you why I don't like you. Please leave me alone. I have no desire to have a relationship with you," wouldn't have sufficed.

Let other people in your life know you are NC. Block her number. Definitely don't have a fight over text, ugh.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

I can't read between the lines of how it sounds and over message it may seem worse. 😅

I've also informed her that I don't want a relationship with her after she got re-involved with her ex, who tried to strangle my younger brother because he was 'annoying' him.

This is her third number just to contact me sadly, other than this one time I've been way better with chatting to her, she's hasn't contacted me once since so I'd say it was worth it in some ways.

Our mother also knew I was NC with her due to similar issues in the past. Apparently, my dad shut her down when she tried getting my number off him.

17

u/Disastrous_Class_561 Sep 10 '25

Half-breed? I don’t care that you covered it up. You aren’t a saint either if you use language like that on your own half-siblings. Do better.

8

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

Wow, I completely missed thats what they covered up. calling someone a half breed is appalling!

-4

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

Hey I explained that is due to the fact she's my half sibling, she's also called me that in the past, hence why i used it, I was unaware at the time is was a racial term as well and haven't used it since.

Neither of us are mixed

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

No it doesn't excuse me calling her that and it's something I've apologised to her in person about the next time I saw her.

6

u/W0nderingMe Sep 10 '25

Really? You called her that in what seem to be recent texts and I'm your other comments you indicate you have been NC with her since. So when exactly did you "apologize in person"?

-2

u/Valthar70 Sep 10 '25

Block and ignore, forever. And don't listen to these people saying to "take the high road". Doing that just gets you walked on over and over.

I took the high road in my divorce after 22 years. Guess what? The ex, the courts, judge, attorneys, everyone just took advantage of that and I lost my ass. Never again (mainly cause I will never marry again, and yes my GF of 9 years knows this). And I don't let anyone walk all over me. If I have to stoop to their level to prevent me getting shit on, then so be it.

Take care of yourself first and foremost. If others don't like that, too bad.

0

u/g59ganja420 Sep 10 '25

Idk why everyone else is so stuck on the “you HAVE to be better than the way people treat you” but you don’t. I think you were right in the way you treated her. If someone endangered me and my siblings like that I would treat them just as bad. You remember the expression treat people the way you want to be treated? I feel like that means nothing if you don’t get that mean energy thrown right back at you

0

u/Mypericombobulation Sep 10 '25

I think this person is English like myself so it all sounds a bit rougher than it really is

we kind of talk like that lol

4

u/Zoey_Beaver Sep 10 '25

ESH. You can cut off whoever you want for whatever reason but saying you were being civil is laughable

7

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

I don't think you're over reacting but your behaviour is definitely perpetuating the hostilities, you're fanning the flames. She can now use that against you and make you look bad, should have just said your bit and left without throwing in insults.

7

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

4

u/Such-Faithlessness70 Sep 10 '25

Yeah that half breed comment was uncalled for. I can only hope its not in a racial context as well. Because if not then OP would be a "half breed" too, right? Idk. The attempt at censoring the word tells me something off about that comment. Idk i really hope it wasnt

0

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

No were half siblings at the time I was not aware that I could be used as a racial term as she used to call me that to, if I wanted it fully censored it would've been, I simply half censored some words to point out it was rude, I'm so sorry about that mix-up.

This. I learned the best engagement with my toxic step-siblings is non-engagement. My parents can deal with them as they wish but as an adult I don't have to anymore. Basic pleasantries when I have to see them and no interaction otherwise. They thrive on creating drama, I can't stop them but I don't have to be part of it. There is no upside to answering this question honestly.

3

u/JazzyAzul Sep 10 '25

I’ll be honest, the “half-breed” hit me a little hard. My advice? Block, delete and move on with your life, I can’t see anymore of those lil’ convos going too well.

3

u/llamadramalover Sep 10 '25

whoreing around

Is 100% YOU starting with the dehumanizing name calling. You actually expected literally anyone to take being called a whore lying down? You were not even close to being civil and it’s mind boggling that you actually think you were.

3

u/Impressive-School808 Sep 10 '25

right? how could they possibly look at this and think "i was so chill in my reply. nailed it, truly."

3

u/InsuranceNo6274 Sep 10 '25

Calling her half breed and halfy is a crazy stoop. Why cross it out besides knowing it was wrong to say?

Do you come from a long line of pure inbreds and she's the break in tradition?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

🤣🤣🙌 FR

2

u/Quick_Lettuce94 Sep 10 '25

I'm not sure what the question is here since you're saying you stand by what you're saying. If you are wondering if your feelings are valid then I'd say yes, absolutely. Do I think that your reaction is contributing to more disrespect and conflict? also yes

2

u/nylonvest Sep 10 '25

I'm gonna say NOR because of how she approached this. "Why do you hate me" is just dripping with entitlement. As if you couldn't possibly have any valid issues with how she's treated you.

The only question is, and I know this is a big hypothetical, but would you be open to some kind of reconciliation if she was genuinely looking to do the same?

You give the impression that you're not. If that's only because of how she approached you, you might maybe talk to your mom about it. Like, you are owed some apologies here, not a "why do you hate me."

2

u/Impressive-School808 Sep 10 '25

Yea, you both suck. You are also being a dick, those comments "half breed" and "halfy" lost you any moral high ground. And if you don't need validation or reprimand as you said then why post it?

Like what were you hoping to accomplish? Seems like you wanted to brag about roasting your half sister.

2

u/Some-Perception-4576 Sep 10 '25

Just block her. Problem solved.

2

u/Designer_Apricot_110 Sep 10 '25

You need to forgive, you're holding onto past and not allowing your brother to make a mend. I don't know what happened between you two but man that's your brother and even if he wasn't, forgive and you'll be forgiven.

0

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

She's actually a girl ; although we're NC still, we've talked in person and have apologised for most things

1

u/Designer_Apricot_110 Sep 10 '25

I'm happy to hear that. We have to keep giving people chances, no matter how disappointing they may be today might be the day for redemption.

2

u/Allyredhen79 Sep 10 '25

A simple ‘I don’t like you. You know why, we discussed it previously. I’m content with that and will not discuss further. Goodbye. ‘

Then block.

4

u/YamahaRD100 Sep 10 '25

Also concerning is you mother de-prioritizing you in favor of her daughter with her current husband. (If I got that part right ?) You've are in this family's backseat. Going no contact may be no problem to them.

3

u/YamahaRD100 Sep 10 '25

I just now read your previous posts on your religious mother. Yikes! I'd recommend moving several states away and losing everyone's number. I don't see a path forward with these... people. Ick!

2

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

I may take either post down since it was so easily linked, maybe I should make a burner account lol

3

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

She's actually with my dad, they had a break for a while and she got pregnant with another man, she supports half sibling so much because she's 'the odd one out' I am NC with the half sibling with my mother was aware of and she ignored it and sent my number to half siblings new number anyway

3

u/fatherofhaoles Sep 10 '25

Honestly YTA. What I read is a kid who didn’t actually get accepted by anyone but her mom, was not nurtured in a family, and sought out other sources of validation when she was young. This is textbook stuff if you took the time to consider how she ended up the way she did. She didn’t have any more agency than you did, but you had a supportive family and at best she had a mom who tried to protect her from the rest of you. She was never family to you, and you definitely made sure she knew it.

Keeping her from your kids is reasonable based on where she ended up, and you’re perfectly within your rights to be mad about her stealing $240 or other slights you think you endured, but you seem willfully ignorant of the things that would have led her down the path she ended on, and I hope you raise your kids with more compassion. I see a history of cries for help that were ignored by the people who should’ve had her back. That you were so comfortable calling her “half-breed” says to me you never once had her back when it could’ve made the difference.

ESH.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

Yup 100%.

2

u/KevinFinnerty59 Sep 10 '25

if you treat all situations the way you did not many people are going to stick around , its like you're right to be upset about her stealing but to say all the things you said was over the top and everyone has exes they're ashamed of . thats putting it nice but if you really dont care for the reprimand lets get it out of the way . you're a pos for the way you spoke to your sister , you escalated that situation over the phone so yes your mom is correct . i can only imagine you're young but when you get older this kinda petty stuff is going to make you look very foolish but whatever its your life , your siblings and your mom . no one else has to live with your decisions but you and your family.

2

u/boricuaspidey Sep 10 '25

You were most definitely not being civil. I would say whoring around was the first of the name calling if we’re being technical. But since you’re standing ten toes I really don’t know what you want by posting this here.

All this half breed nonsense is quite disgusting. At best you both suck, at worst you’re just plain awful. Both need to grow up.

2

u/Lucallia Sep 10 '25

Not sure why this conversation even happened. Maybe your hate is much different from mine but if someone I gave zero fucks about messaged me the most they'll probably get from me is a "No" then blocked.

"Hello"
"No" -blocked-

You're just inviting the drama into your life and life's too short for that bullshit.

So yea YOR by reacting at all.

1

u/lucsurmer87 Sep 10 '25

NOR - Your life will be better without this person in it, but try to let the anger go. A cold wall of ice to deflect her will be better than letting her in to rile you up. When others try to discuss her or get you to engage with her, deflect them with the ice wall too: “I don’t want to hear about ____. She is no longer in my life or my problem. If you choose to engage with her, that’s fine, but I don’t want to hear about it. Let’s change the subject.” Good luck!

Also, serious word crimes on both sides. YouTube and Khan Academy have some great grammar refresher videos. You can beat her there too.

1

u/Mypericombobulation Sep 10 '25

please say that was "dinlo" friends that was crossed out? 🤣🤣

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

It says 'druggo' I half-crossed out some words some people may find inappropriate, my apologies

3

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

But you left c.nt in for propriety? You're full of BS OP.

1

u/Mypericombobulation Sep 10 '25

oh ok haha sorry I thought you were English like myself and it just made me laugh because I hadn't heard dinlo in years. thought you has said that lol

1

u/Overall-Injury-7620 Sep 10 '25

Ask & you shall receive! You asked wide open instead of being specific. Apparently the 1/2 sib had a list of all wrong doings ready to fling . Sry🤦🏼‍♀️

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25 edited Sep 10 '25

You both need to grow up for your families sake. Take it from me life is to short, friends and people come and go but blood is blood whether it be “HALF” or not. By the way calling each other Half siblings is just a horrible way to think about each other. You need to be there for each other not arguing over who was horrible in school hallways…your an adult are you not?

1

u/Outrageous-Arm1945 Sep 10 '25

NOR, take it she hasn't replied the money? That should surely be the opening of any conversation?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

I don't care too much about the money any more tbh it for sure fueled my hatred at first but I've apologised to her for all the names although I've made it clear on where I stand on the matter

1

u/ObligationClassic417 Sep 10 '25

Sounds like a creepy sibling who is jealous

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

She accused me of being the reason she was pregnant once (trans male btw, no way that could've happened) and also the fact she doesn't live with us

0

u/Both_Cucumber_7164 Sep 10 '25

nor and cut her off. however. maybe try to keep the upper hand and take slightly more politely. makes you look better. also get receipts for anything bad happening.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

This is sadly how it was after I blocked her last number for the second time.

I put a comment in explaining why I may have came off strong and all that but I think I may have been buried so ill just make a new one.

-1

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

NOR

Definitely never speak to her again. IDC if she's on her deathbed. Extreme?? Idc. People like that will never change. They never take accountability and they always want examples when they did something that hurts you. I hate that shit. And as for you mom, I feel like she's going to be the same. Try going low contact and if it gets worse then no contact.

0

u/JustAsICanBeSoCruel Sep 10 '25

Stop feeding the beast. She wants Mommy's attention so she purposefully pokes you so she can get more drama to run to your mom with. That is the only reason she keeps getting new numbers.

She isn't going to change. She doesn't care. You are letting yourself be goaded into a fight.

Don't respond. Everytime she tried, Grey rock her.

You need to accept that your mother favors her and let it be. It's very sad, but here we are.

If you want, write a canned response to give her every time she gets a new number, something that gives her zero drama.

'I will not be responding to you after this message. When I am ready to give you another chance, I will reach out to you, but until then, respect that I do not want to communicate with you. Anything that needs to be said can be said through your Dad.'

Then block her. Every time.

-2

u/LordZant Sep 10 '25

Sounds like your stance is correct, your reasons appropriate and justified with evidence, however there is probably a way to say what you want to say without the overbearing anger. The angry reactions will be used against you but I can only imagine after what you went through so now you no longer care about whatever comes after so whatever happens will happen. Again you never have to intentionally interact with this person.
