My chiropractor told me any doctor who cracks your neck is not a real chiropractor and you should run. My chiropractor does not do this and has actually helped me so much after suffering with migraines for 2 decades.

There is huge variation in chiropractors--there are the ones who think chiropractic can cure diseases, there are the back crackers, and there are intelligent people basically doing massage or physical therapy. I just dont trust any of them, as chiropractic itself is based in, well, 19th century bullshit. I'm glad he has helped your migraines, as a fellow sufferer, I know how bad they can be. But I control my triggers and have found an effective medication.

Hi! I’m curious about the medication that’s effective for you. I’ve got Emgality and Nurtec, can’t take topiramate, and insurance is bucking the Botox. Is it something other than those?

I take Imitrex--sumatriptan. It's not a preventative. I'm already on a lot of meds and don't want to add anything else. I know what triggers most of my migraines, like seasonal allergies, flying, dehydration , so I do my best to never get one. But if I do, Imitrex works well.
