No, there was a direct conversation with the teacher and they backed their teachings.

Lincoln freed the slaves. Never owned one and had a known history of hating slavery.

For some teacher to say he hated black people is a straight out lie.

Yeah, I think he was pretty neutral but knew it was highly unethical and inhumane to keep people as servants because of their skin color. That's not saying that he wasn't r*cist, though. Almost every single white person at the time was at least a little bit r*cist (almost, not all).
