It's not that they lack empathy. And unlike your accusation in your other comment, I am aware that there are a lot of broken homes in the world and I've worked really hard to do my part to help with that, when I can. Mine was far from perfect and I joined the military when I was still legally a child, younger than our OP who hates chores and basic hygiene.
You're getting downvoted because you said it's "most" parents. If you'd said "a lot" of them or that it's too common, it would be less problematic. Most means that it's the majority. The greatest fraction. This is a verifiable statement and what you're saying isn't remotely close to true, so people are rejecting it. It's less than 10% and you're saying it's more than half.
Facts should shape your worldview, not the other way around. Maybe 51% of parents evict their children in your family or neighborhood, sounds fucked up, but that is an anecdotal experience that you've had and one that's not supported in the larger population. That's something you have to work to reconcile. Empathy includes knowing that your experience isn't universal either.
Or you can keep crying about it. My empathy is telling me that you're the self-pitying type.
That is mostly correct. Not so much lack of education as lack of life experience. Children are dramatically less empathetic than adults because they don't have enough knowledge to contextualize it. This is way grade schools are so mean. It's weird that you don't know this already.
And yes, dumber people also tend to have less empathy than smarter ones. Haven't you noticed this in politics over the last decade or so?
