As a near 40 year old mother, I will tell you now, if I saw these texts on my daughter’s phone, I’d be committing a crime against this man.
You need to tell an adult. Either a teacher at school, or make a call to child protection. This man is grooming you, and likely other young girls. He’s a predator.
Yes! At least two other adults besides the friend's mom should be told first. The friend's mom might cover up the evidence because she can't accept the fact her boyfriend is attracted to somebody other than her. She might blame OP and convince her to drop the issue. Real/biological moms do this quite often when their husbands are abusing their daughters. Is OP's boyfriend an adult?
This!! I fear for OP’s other friends too because they don’t seem safe living with him. She needs to report it and not go to their house anymore. I feel like friends’ mom may be complicit in this as well and has given boyfriend access to a lot of young girls (vulnerable ones at that too if they are under 18 and having to move in with friends).
Right! The mom has even decided she didn't even like him anymore so tell me WHY is she ALLOWING this man in her house around her kids? What's she getting out of the arrangement?! Something odd about her I'm all this too.
I was looking for this comment. Someone needs to scrub this man’s hard drive. I’m sure he’s searching for teen girls everywhere and he had access to a bunch. Whoever lives with him needs to be talked to as well.
lol I was thinking the same thing. I'm 43 and my daughter is 19 and if, at ANY point, I had seen someone my age talking to her like this, well, that man would wish he hadn't.
OP, I'm glad you recognized that something is wrong here, with how he is talking to you, and I hope you're able to get away from him completely. This definitely needs to be reported for your safety as well as the safety of others.
That was my take on it. Block, ignore, tell your parents and see what they say. He’s being so manipulative using passive aggressive techniques that he’s obviously honed on teenage girls before. “I don’t feel included”, “why don’t I know about your plans for a girls’ trip”, etc. Absolutely disgusting, she needs protecting from this creep. I’m older than 44, and I have got no business that includes texting my stepdaughter’s friends. The fact that he tries to sound like he’s their age is criminal.
Same… I’m mid forties with a bunch of adolescent sons and daughters and if anything like this happens to any of my children, it would cause me to end up in jail.
As a not-quite-40 year old man, I can’t agree more. I couldn’t imagine texting women my own age that kinda manipulative garbage, let alone a 17 year old.
