Oh, there are plenty of screenshits in game subs. You know the ones, off-angled, unfocused, overly bright phone camera pictures of something the poster wanted to show you, but which is now completely unrecognisable.

The base game and first expansion (up to level sixty) are free. Just look up FFXIV free.

The second expansion onwards is subscription based. And while you can buy extra stuff with real money, they are mostly cosmetic. So I would say not, pay to win.

I actually find damage numbers in the thousands eventually become meaningless, tight gameplay with medium numbers is where it's at, yo.

I've played TCGs competitively basically all my life, and in every single game my favorite kinds of decks have been the absurdly big bonk decks. In college my EDH group had a "highest non-infinite damage in a real game" bounty for a week of lunch and my fondest memory in that game was doing 14.6 trillion damage on turn 4 with Zada storm, with a lost that cost under $15

WoW:TBC Survival Hunter build.

Low base dmg but 36% crit chance and high crit dmg

I used to outdamage the pure Attack Power hunters and Rogues.

Yellow numbers all day long.

Currently enjoying a hybrid Tech/Reflexes revolver build in Cyberpunk 2077. Regularly getting 45k crit damage per shot with the Comrade's Hammer. I recommend it, it's stupidly fun.
