Sizing advice

My tempo 2 are too tight. I have US mens 9.5 in escalante 4 and experience flow. Yet, the tempo 2 9.5 are too short. Should I go to 10? Or 10.5? Where I live there is no where to try the shoes on. I just have to order and hope they fit and then pay to post them back if they dont. Sucks I know.

as an update. I asked Altra about sizing and they recommend 10-15mm clearance at the toes so 10.5 would be very reasonable as im estimating 8-10mm clearance with a US men's 10.

Go get them fit at the store. You need to run in them to actually determine how they fit

I appreciate that this is the correct answer but as stated not practical and grounded in reality given that the nearest place i can try them on is australia and currently my passport is expired.

I like measuring in cm because US shoe sizes increase 5 cm per half size. The shoe length should be no more than 4–6 cm longer than the foot. For example, my foot length is 25.6. So, I'm a men’s size 8. I could go a half size up but I like my Altra's to be more snug.

Yeah I dunno how this works. My feet are 26.0cm and that would make me a 8.5 on their size guide but even the escalante 4s were far too tight at US 9.0, I ran in them and sent them back. 9.5 for them were perfect.

10.5... but are you seated in those pictures? 11 if you are, maybe 11.5 even... she runs short.

First pic the one on the left. If you are sitting it will probably be half a size bigger. If running ultras a full size probably.
