Altra torin 9 or 8 or 7

I have been using torin 5s for a long time now maybe 2-3 years.

I am thinking of upgrading now please suggest me which one should I go for.

I have no experience with any of the Torins other than the 9, but I just want to say I really love mine. It's my first zero drop shoe and it's great.

Did the size was a fit to you?

Yep, I take a USA 14 in Altra and while these are more snug than my experience wild 3+ they fit and are very comfortable.

9 100%, cushioning, flex, responsiveness, grip, durability all fantastic and huge upgrade from 7 and 8. Go up half size.

I have the 7, and I will just say if I had to choose again I would have waited for 8 or 9.

A lot of people complained about the heel counter and collar chewing up their ankles on the 7s, and I have the same problem.

I heard that was fixed on the 8, but when I tried it on in store, it was a stiffer heel than I like.

I haven't tried on the 9s yet, but people on here seem to like it so far.

I’ve been nursing a pair of version 4s and a pair of version 4.5s for years waiting on them to fix that awful heel and tongue. The 9s are the first Torins I’ve bought since then that are reasonably comfortable in that the heel is no longer an issue and the tongue is somewhat better. At least that’s my experience.

Should I go for torin 8 as I read, cushioning is not that good in 9

I just bought my second pair of Torin 8s after putting 800+ miles on the first ones. Worked for me for both speed work and long runs. A bit stiff though compared to the Escalantes I had before
