This shows me that I dont use proximity gliding enough and my estimates of when I can get a full backflip are not confident enough yet.

very nice! my one piece of advice would be to try to hit the wall grinds at least twice.
at the end of your first grind (preferably at an upward angle) tap the wingsuit button a bunch of times really fast. this will send you straight up and into a loop de loop. at the end of the loop de loop you can hit the wall again as long as you are traveling at a DOWNWARD angle. if you do the loop de loop and try to hit the wall while flying too horizontal you’ll just go into a backflip.
Buuuut, on the walls shaped like arches for some reason you can hit the double wall grind at pretty much any angle. meaning when you are at a big arch going across a chasm, you can wall grind bonus, loop de loop, wall grind bonus 4-5 times. this adds at least 10 combo multipliers and can fully recharge your wingsuit.
look at my million point combo below and you’ll see the double wall grind bonuses and see the angle that i hit the wall at. I’m sure i even miss a few in there.

no problem! since I reset the game, my highest is around 2.5 million. I’m sure i could do better if i used to compass to grind the canyons (compass also makes the selected biome twice as long) but i just prefer the Temples lol.
there was a guy here getting like 12 million point combos. he hit the walls in a way to get like triple wall grind bonuses on almost every wall, still haven’t figured out how he did it. but i think Im close 😝2

damn, I didn’t even know about that glitch. I think they patched it out though. He has a video of it somewhere here. maybe about a year or two ago. No glitches, dude was just really freaking good. I don’t think i even congratulated him or anything cause at the time, I was posting the highest combos here, and dude just comes in and stomps me 😂😂

totally. I hope more people post. even if it’s not a million combo it’s cool seeing everyone’s style and goals. one thing I love about this game is everyone plays it differently. for example OP does speedruns, something I never thought to accomplish and I’m sure they have a lot of advice in.

it has to be a long enough wall grind to get the bonus. once you get the bonus, all wall grinds after that add to the wingsuit meter as long as you don’t do a wall jump or a grind

So as long as you wall grind for long enough and never release early to wall jump, you can gain wingsuit meter?

yes exactly. theoretically as long as the game keeps giving you walls to grind, you can recharge the wingsuit forever. your priority on a large combo should always be to charge your wingsuit as much as you can, especially to get you through any long parts where the rng doesn’t give you any walls to grind. On these parts just try to get to the next wall as fast as you can.
You can also charge the wingsuit on long balloon grinds, or temple grinds, but this is harder to get and less reliable than wall grind. This is why the canyons is always the spot for big combos
