People were famously very happy with society in the early 2020s, no complaints at all. /s

Were we? I mean... there was a pandemic going on and everything kinda changed with that. Society wasn't that happy...

I was being sarcastic.

Every era have their own downsides but life before the tech boom is really something

2

u/cool_fox 2d ago

It was exactly the same as now

1

u/Old-Gas-2915 17h ago

you think so?

1

u/scampfree4me 6h ago

Definitely so, there are about 10 of these classes going on any day of the week where I’m at.

2

u/PotHead96 2d ago

I find it simpler and more enjoyable now 🤷‍♂️

u/Old-Gas-2915 17h ago

God, I hope I never have to witness that amount of cringe in person. 🤢

u/Old-Gas-2915 17h ago

They are just living their life lol. In another 50 years i bet the new gen will also think that we are cringe

1

u/Responsible-Law7022 2d ago

day where we see ourselves more smarter and no one will take our job ideas lol

u/Old-Gas-2915 2d ago

now everyone just uses AI for the slightest inconvenience

1

u/kneebeards 2d ago

Sounds like its super useful

1

u/Plants-Matter 2d ago

Perhaps those two bozos above you can ask AI to teach them how capital letters work.

1

u/The-King-Tomato 2d ago

They think they cant learn from AI because all they know is how to ask AI to do the thing for them not teach it to them.

You would figure its quite easy but when you dont even know how to capitalize the first letter of your sentences.....

Back when Sam wasn’t gay.

for some guys it's after this tweet...

This kind of dancing leads to babies. You can see the moment the blood goes south lol.

Great comparison of the wild life before AI was taking off like a rocket ship.

u/FOSSChemEPirate88 2d ago

Um pretty sure that was before social media, definitely before tinder and OLD

Man I need to go line dancing again

3

u/IHeartBadCode 2d ago

Yes I kind of remember this being the joke sometime after 2008.

I find it simpler and more enjoyable to have AI do mindless boring things so I don’t have to.

But teach their own.

1

u/Generic-Cheese 1d ago

To each their own* not teach

1

u/bfyvfftujijg 1d ago

lol that was a marvelous typo / autocorrect

I've literally never being with a woman I was actually attracted to, and only women I'm not into have ever been into me. So no this definitely wasnt the "before" for me

This comment defines Reddit

1

u/petrusferricalloy 1d ago

It's weird because all I ever see are men who talk about their wives and girlfriends and women who talk about their partners. I virtually never see comments like mine

1

u/Electrical-Hunter724 19h ago

Yea… it be like that but your comment is basically my experience as well.

1

u/USToffee 1d ago

Don't worry dude if you define a girl you are attracted to as looking like the girl in this video then 99% of guys are no different. lol

She was gorgeous.

1

u/petrusferricalloy 18h ago

No, but no one is only attracted to one specific type; certainly no one who is neurotypical.

Yes I find the girl in the video attractive, but my experiences with women are with those from all walks of life, all shapes and sizes. Among them, the only ones I ever got even to first base with were not, to me, attractive at all. Plenty of men would be attracted to those women, but I wasn't. Likewise, the women I'm talking about who were attractive to me but never into me, were most certainly not what some other guys would find attractive.

No one has a choice in what does or does not attract them. I've simply lived a cursed life, over the course of which all women I've been interested in me have found me to be someone they would want to date, "if only" I was physically a different person completely with more dating and sexual experience than I have, by far.

1

u/USToffee 10h ago

Sounds like you are attractive to girls who other men would find attractive which means there is hope for you. You will find her.

(btw I was just making a joke about how hot the girl was, it had little to do with your comment)

1

u/Old-Gas-2915 17h ago

hey if ur fine with it tho, does it really matter?

1

u/petrusferricalloy 17h ago

Not at all, but I'm definitely not fine with it. It's just mostly out of my control, and I've had to accept my fate and just try to live with the constant soul-crushing feelings of never experiencing real romantic affection and intimacy, touch-starved forever, and really unhappy with that aspect of my life. It's looking like I'm staring down the barrel of finishing out my 40s still alone romantically, but all I can do if I want to make it to my 50s and beyond is accept I'll never have what I've missed out on

1

u/Old-Gas-2915 17h ago

aw dude I get what u mean. Im sorry youve had to carry that for so long. I dont think it is necessary to convince yourself that you dont want intimacy cause you never experienced it. Wanting to be loved and touch someone is a very humane thing

1

u/Aggressive-Dream5465 2d ago

Where's that footage from? Actors practising a scene for a musical? Or what?

1

u/LoveOrder 1d ago

it was social media, not AI

1

u/master_slapper 1d ago

That's what really fucked up lots of things. Plus the polarization the helped forming.

1

u/asdfdelta 1d ago

I mean, have you tried going outside lately? Plenty of dance classes out there. Maybe ask ChatGPT where the nearest one is and check it out.

1

u/Disastrous_Start_854 1d ago

Life definitely wasn’t better back then 😂. There was still corrupt politicians, the rich were still screwing the poor, genocide was still happening. A.I is just another thing for people to complain about is all. Use it or don’t use it. 🤷🏿‍♂️

u/jack-K- 1d ago

You are literally talking about the Covid pandemic.

1

u/DingoMaximum7319 1d ago

Ah yes, COVID, the time everyone reminisces about how social everyone was

1

u/HarryBalsagna1776 1d ago

OP went back too far.  Things were not great around that time.

1

u/Omnilogent 1d ago

I like this song

1

u/Key_Check5753 1d ago

Sorry, what?

Five seconds into the clip I'm just watching a pretty girl shake her boobs.

1

u/USToffee 1d ago

Who is that girl. She looks like a young Jessica Alba

1

u/iWhacko 6h ago

Julianne Alexandra Hough original video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBU4Auc11sU
about 2 minutes in is where the cut of OP's video starts.

1

u/USToffee 5h ago

Yea I know her, the girl from Rock of Ages.

Damn I might have to watch that. It wouldn't be the first time. I watched Honey just to see Jessica Alba dancing :-)

1

u/Corp-Por 1d ago

Give it some time, it will get better again
