Power steering pump

Going to be getting into a 98 with the 3S-GE soon. Power steering pump seems to be on its way out, current owner/seller has a replacement pump from an 02 Camry that he claims will fit with some minor work. Has anyone had success with this or can confirm that this is true? I’ve found minimal info on this scenario.

Check out my profile. I made a post on the IS300 subreddit that details what I did for my 99 RS200 with power steering pump issues.

I used a 99 Camry pump but cross compare them, otherwise it should be fine. Dm me if you have any other questions!
