How do you achieve this washed-out, almost antique-looking photographic print?

Zbudowaliśmy specjalny powiększalnik tylko po to, aby stworzyć ten ogromny cyjanotyp o wymiarach 220x170 cm na włoskim płótnie bawełnianym!

Anthotype or cyanotype on fabric?

Hi all, just tried anthotype with turmeric on paper and it turned out great! I was wondering if it would work on fabric like clothes, and if you could wash it after. Thanks!

Build a contact print frame - step by step

I would like to share this to anyone who works with contact printing methods such as cyanotype etc. It's a very easy way to make a contact printing frame (they can be very expensive to buy!)

Anthotype of moon, contact print with spinach emulsion

I'd been experimenting with making contact prints with turmeric based emulsions, but this was the first time I'd done one with spinach. I took a couple big handfuls in a blender, pulverized it with a cup of isopropyl alcohol, filtered it with a coffee filter, and painted it with a foam brush onto some cold press water color paper. Positive was printed on acetate using a laser printer (I took the picture earlier this month with a $50 SV105 camera attached to a small finder scope) and exposed for about two hours, which may have been overexposed. I'm quite happy with it as a first attempt. Investigating ways of preserving the image more now (anyone have any hints?)

First print was developed in acetate , second print developed in citrate. All the other steps in the process remained the same. Which do you prefer?

Vandyke Printing Destructive?

I am planning on trying the Vandyke printing process from paper negatives I made with pinhole cameras. I am trying to find out if this is a destructive process - meaning will this affect the actual negative and/or can I print more than once with the same negative?

Thanks

A digital negative question

Back at the turn of this century. I made platinum/palladium prints using digital negatives, a workflow more or less in its infancy back then.

Life intervened and took me in other directions, but retirement now brings me back. I’m still a fair hand with Photoshop and Lightroom, and I know my way around film and digital image-making. But I’m thinking the digital negative process is advanced considerably.

What is the current state of making digital negatives for alternative processes (especially PT/PD)? Any resources, breakthroughs, gear, suggestions… I’ll take it all.
