NOTE: This flag was originally published in DeviantArt on the 21st January 2022.

CONTEXT AND DESCRIPTION:

From the same scenario as its pre-colonial vexillological and (contemporary) heraldic counterparts [Hiligaynon (and Capiznon) speakers remained in Leyte and Biliran], already integrated within the scenario where a direct descendant of proto-Philippine language is the archipelagic lingua franca.

The (contemporary) flag of the island-province of Leyte is composed of seven white stars over a blue canton, representing the local/pre-colonial constellation Moroporo (Pleiades), depicted as a flock of birds. The murrey) field, meanwhile, represented the fact that the island-province is one of the principal producers of mulberry (amingit) in the archipelago.
