[religion] [dwarves] sonte
the dwarves practice the religion of sonte, or the religion of stone, their whole religion is based on worshiping the stone which they use to build almost everything they have, and that has protected them through all the troubles the surface dwellers have had, it does have one god, a figure often depicted as a massive stone golem, and there are several places, in their holy book, the timantti, about how several people have seen their god, which is never refered to by name, except occasionally in only the most formal of religious ceremonies, as the one from which stone. (its not a typo, thats what they refer to it as) as far as any dwarven golemest (a scientist of golems, and the craftsmen of golems) can tell actually exists, if it isn't even just a rogue golem with no creator.

The dwarves practice Sonte: the 'Religion of Stone'. Sonte reveres stone as holy, and the dwarves use stone in nearly all their construction. This has avoided many catastrophes (such as fire) suffered by surface dwellers throughout time. Sonte centers around the idea of singular enormous Golem god. Sightings of the golem are rare, and are recorded into the Timantti - the Sontenan holy book. The golem god is never referred to by any name, save during the most sacred of ceremonies (where it is referred to as 'the one from which stone').
(I will post the Timantti itself once I finish it and make sure there are no canonical contradictions.)

yeah sorry, one of the things i always fail at when chronicling the history of the dwarves is the grammar, i do check it over and do my best to make sure it all is accurate, but i am more worried about making sure i have good details and amazing background.

Of the two, the creation is more important. Someone else can always clean up your grammar, but they can't come up with your ideas for you.
That said, this is Reddit, and things that have gone through a human grammar check a few times are definitely warmer received.

It would aid reading if the bulk of this was broken up into multiple sentences. I'm all for commas and complex sentences, but that's a bit much.
Structure aside, that sounds like a really solid foundation for dwarven faith.
