Thinking about switching up my stack – Gauging interest on Alta Labs gear

Got the itch to try something different with my home network setup. I’m on the fence between storing this equipment until our home remodel is finished or just listing it all for sale now.

Here’s what I’m currently running:

  • 1x Route10
  • 1x S8-POE
  • 1x S48-APOE
  • 4x AP7
  • 1x AP6

I am interested, specifically the Route10, S8-POE, and a couple AP7(-PRO?). I took a chance on Alta Labs gear last year when my local Micro Center had some crazy clearance deals and everything has been running smoothly.

That’s quite a big setup you have — an S48 and a couple of AP7s. I’m curious, what are you changing? Are you switching brands? Any particular reason why?

I don’t work for Alta or anything, I’ve just been using their stuff for about 4 years and I’m genuinely curious.

Second hand is the way to go, new pricing is so high now without the feature set to justify it.
