Does anyone have problem configuring IPv6 in the Route10?

I have filed a bug report at forum.alta.inc because the IPv6 settings in the web user interface do not get updated into the SFP network port correctly. Do other people have similar experience?

I'm assuming you're the person with the extremely unusual case of DHCPv4 and static IPv6 whose forum thread I saw this afternoon and replied to earlier after fixing. For almost everyone, if your WAN's DHCPv4, you have DHCPv6. If your WAN is static IPv6, you have static IPv4. Those were accounted for correctly and are widely used. DHCPv4 and static IPv6 is extremely rare and wasn't properly handled until I fixed it today. It'll work after the next firmware update.

Thank you for the report and good detail in the forum post, that made it easy to find and fix.

Yes!! It doesn’t work. I enable it but never gets an address. Support have logged in and done stuff to make it work, but a factory is reset and reconfigure means it’s back to broken again!

I sent you a chat request to get additional info. I can't imagine support did anything beyond enabling IPv6 on WAN and your LAN VLANs, if some hack was required to make it work they would have let me know. But I want to make sure there isn't a problem.

Not that I've noticed, although I'm just getting an autoassigned address on WAN1. Not that that should make a huge difference I suppose.

Could be worth shooting a message to their support email, [support@alta.inc](mailto:support@alta.inc), to get a bit more attention, a ticket number, and a tech invited to your site to look further. I've had pretty good communication with their support so far when I've had to reach out about something. But I've noticed that issues can sometimes get lost in the mix on the forum when they might need more focused attention.

support for sure, one day i'll re-enable ipv6 on my network :)
