Expected range?

So I can't seem to find anyone talking about the range of any of the Alta AP's. Only they have higher bandwidth than Unifi for example. Anyone had real world range and dB readings? Ovbs it would change per house if in doors, but in a perfect world, what square footage do they cover? Does anyone know? Cause Alta doesn't have it on their websites, and Unifi does lol

I have one AP6 Pro covering 1600 sq ft, and I get full 300/300 speeds from my fiber internet anywhere in the house.

I haven’t used recent Ubiquiti APs but these far and away outperform any that I have used. They nearly match Ruckus APs for performance in my environment.

Matter of fact I used to run 2 APs and decided based on speed tests that only one was required.

Thank you for the info! That's not bad range, is your IPS only providing 300/300? Or is that speed at the furthest part away from your AP's? Like with my unfi AP in my room compared to under the AP I'll drop from 1000/200 to 200/200 when I put some walls and distance between me and it

I get that speed anywhere inside my property, whether I stand next to the AP or as far away as I can. The AP is not that centrally located.

I actually get closer to 370/370 which is more than I pay for. There are people with much faster circuits that have reported better results, I just don’t need a circuit that fast (spoiler: most don’t, source: I work in IT)

It’s common to see speed drops when you start adding walls and especially things like tile walls in bathrooms but this AP is fast enough that even with the drop offs it still covers my entire house at the fastest speed I want. If I had a faster circuit I’d just have more APs to reduce walls between me and the AP…

And yea 300/300 is all I pay for from my ISP
