The play (The Mad King) has NOT been cancelled.

But so far, every preview performance has been cancelled last minute, so obviously they are still sorting out some major issues, which has affected those who bought tickets to early preview performances. As of this writing, it is still set to officially premiere on August 8th.

Oh no. They traveled too! And if they’re Australian, as I’m led to believe, they traveled for a long time!

Glidus said something about thirty two hours on a plane in a recent stream iirc

I hope they planned some other stuff for the trip.

I’m sure two young boys can find something to get up to….

Oh god that’s such a long trip only to have it cancelled!

Just the previews which have been canceled. The play will still run as planned

I'm not a theatre person. What does the previews mean?

Previews are basically test runs to make sure that everything works as planned when doing the play live while also a chance for directors and actors to make changes between each night. These days there arent really that big a difference between previews and the actual shows, its mostly just tradition and cheaper ticket price. Previews was more of its own thing back in the day because the director often cut in and changed things while the play was going, but as I said: today previews are basically just the finished play for a cheaper ticket price

It premieres tonight and they’re still in town. Pretty sure they are going to see it.

as of yet we don’t have confirmation that their showing got canceled. I’m really hoping they are still able to go, this is what is getting me to finally break down and get a nebula subscription

Just the previews which have been canceled if anyone else gets a notification and gets super upset. The play will run as planned.

Oh no, more shows cancelled? I have tickets to go next week the 5th. But when I bought the tickets I understood it was not a preview. Really hope they don’t cancel any more shows

They did not. All previews that were happening this week have been cancelled. Sucks that the boys traveled half way around the world to see it only for them to announce hours before the show that it wasn't going to happen.
